Westminster.
28. The Queen to Winchester. Has lately restored the Marq. of Northampton to his former estate. Desires a grant of certain lands of 500l. annual value to be prepared, to be settled upon him.

29. Roger Kelk (Master of Mag. Coll. Camb.) to Sir Wm. Cecill. Requests him to procure the Queen's presentation in his favour for an Archdeaconry.
Nov. 3.
Charter House.
30. Frances, Duchess of Suffolk to same. Thanks him for furthering her suit for licence to sell one of the manors of her jointure. Incloses,
30. i. Particular of the lands held by Lady Frances Duchess of Suffolk, as well by jointure as by inheritance.
Nov. 6 (?) 31. Certificate of the value of certain lands, parcel of the possession of Lady Frances Duchess of Suffolk, as one of the co-heirs of Charles late Duke of Suffolk.
Nov. 6. 32. Matthew Parker, Archbishop elect of Canterbury, to Cecill. Is to speak with the Queen again in the principal matter in hand. "God keep us from such a visitation as Knox has attempted in Scotland."

33. Sir Thos. Cornwaleys to same. Thanks him for his late letters, and sends him 22 partridges; part to be presented to Lord Robert [Duddeley].
Nov. 7. 34. Decree of the Court of Wards, declaring Gregory Fynes Lord Dacre of the South to have attained his full age of 21 years, contingent on the birthday of King Edward VI. [It is extraordinary that in this decree the birth of Edward VI. is antedated by a whole year.]

35. Mrs. Margaret Yaxlee to Francis Yaxley. Desires to see the titles of certain copyhold lands bought of his father by her late husband. Project for uniting the rectories of Little Thornham and Melles, co. Suffolk.

36. Geo. Waller to same. Gives particulars of the manor and perquisites of Mildenhall. Has heard the D. of Norfolk desires them for Sir John Tyrrell.
Nov. 16 (?) 37. A paper indorsed "Ex Rotulis Parliament.," from 3 Henry VI. to 1 Eliz., containing the names of Peers in each Parliament.
Nov. 17. 38. Account of armour remaining in the Tower of London and other places, to 17th November.
Nov. 18. 39. Archbp. Parker to Cecill. Death of Bishop Tunstall. The will of King Henry VIII. found among the few effects left by him.

Nov. 25. 41. Account of brass ordnance and powder received into the Tower for the Queen's use from Anth. Hickman and Edw. Castelyn.

42. Sir Ric. Sakevyle, Sir John Warner, and others, to the Queen. Report particulars of examinations taken by them of certain persons accused of sorcery, withchcraft, poisoning, enchantment, &c.; particularly in the case of George Throgmorton and Lady Frances Throgmorton, his wife, who was accused of poisoning her husband.

Nov. 30. 44. Account of debt due and payable to the Queen for fustians. The principal debtors being Anth. Hickman and Edw. Castelyn.
Nov. 45. General account of subsidy paid by the Laity in England and Wales in the first year of the Queen's reign.
Nov. 46. List of Bishops who returned into England on Queen Elizabeth's accession, and of the Bishops present in her first Parliament. Progress of the Convocation in framing the book of Common Prayer.

Nov. (?) 48. Petition of George Glover to Sir Wm. Cecill. Prays him to request the Lord Keeper to call before him Mr. Stambridge and his other creditors, and to compound with them.
Nov. (?) 49. Memorandum of the quantities of bow staves received into the Ordnance stores.
Nov. (?) 50. Estimates of charges and materials of the masks and other pastimes to be shown in presence of the Queen at Whitehall at Christmas and Shrovetide.
