810. Lords of the Council to Lord Chichester. [March 27.] Philad. P., vol. 4, p. 357.

Charles Carthie, Esq., has complained in the behalf of himself and his father that one Andrew Barrett, councillor at law, notwithstanding he has first submitted himself to an award, has lately, through the power of himself and his friends, both in the county and city of Cork, obtained the verdict of a jury for the lands Lissivoroe, Killvonity, Ballinelon, and Ballivorishine, in the county of Cork, for many ages in the possession of his predecessors.

Chichester is to call Barrett before him and require him to perform the award; in case of his refusing to direct a new trial in some indifferent county.—Whitehall, March 27, 1614.

Signed: G. Cant., Notingham, T. Suffolke, Gilb. Shrewsbury, W. Knollys, E. Wotton, Ralph Winwood.
