Upon this accompt the Auditor has made the following memoranda:
The sum of 31,285l. 8s. 0d. is charged by the Ordnance Accompt on the Regiments for arms delivered. But hitherto the Accomptant has only charged himself with 2,532l. 9s. 11d. for 1706 and 2,049l. 14s. 8d. in the present Accompt, leaving 26,703l. 3s. 5d. still to be charged on him or on whoever has the clearing of the Regiments concerned.
Pearce's Dragoons are to be charged with 764l. 13s. 3¼d. paid Messrs. Man and Macullock for clothing.
The Commissaries for clothing are accomptable for the quantities of such clothing by them received and issued.
The Queen is to be reimbursed 12,490l. and 5,000l. paid to Harnage and Churchill for clothing out of the 6d. per man a week, as also 1,425l. paid Henry Furness and the Paymaster is to surcharge himself therewith; he is however allowed these sums together with a further 24,571l. 19s. 6d. for clothing bought by the Queen as it appears that he has delivered clothing to the several Regiments amounting to 71,143l. 16s. 8¼d. or 27,656l. 17s. 2¼d. more than the above.
A further sum of 24,980l. for clothing paid Messrs. Churchill and Harnage, which the Government is to be reimbursed, is to be charged on subsequent Accompts.
The sum of 6,992l. 11s. 6¾d. mentioned in the Accompt for 1705 as paid to Lord Barrimore's Regiment and other sums paid for subsistence in this Accompt are to be charged on this Accomptant or any other Paymaster who by clearing the said Regiments shall take credit for their full pay.
The Accomptant has delivered upon his honour the Regimental Accompts of such Regiments as are herein allowed their full pay and clearings.
The Accomptant in his Accompt for 1710 is to be charged with 984l. 3s. 0¼d. received of Charles Fox, the preceding Paymaster, 24 March 1709–10.
The 6,558l. and 129l. 17s. 8d. paid for horses for Harvey's and Raby's Regiments and for recruit horses from Ireland remain to be adjusted.
The 40l. deducted from Lord Donegal's Regiment for medicines is to be charged on whoever has the clearing of the said Regiment.
The Accomptant having voluntarily charged himself with several sums deducted from the pay of the several Regiments for clothing, etc., the same must be adjusted when the Commissaries' Accompts are delivered.
The 8,750l. allowed as paid to Brig. Lislemaris for the Dutch Forces sent under Earl Rivers is to be made good to the Government by the States General of the United Provinces.
The Government is to be reimbursed the 17,061l. 18s. 0d. paid John Hallum for clothing and accoutrements.
When this or any other Paymaster shall take credit for the Earl of Donegal's pay as Major General at 50s. a day for the year to 23 Dec. 1706, he is to surcharge himself with 119l. 14s. paid him on accompt.
