THE Bill for the Preservation of Fishing in the Com' of Devon: - The second Reading, and committed unto the Knights for Devon and Cornewall, all Burgesses for Devon and Cornewall, Mr. Tate, Mr. Hedley, Doctor Mountlowe, Mr. Jones, Mr. Yelverton: - To meet Tomorrow, Chequer Chamber, at Two a Clock in the Afternoon. Bill delivered to Mr. Tregenna.

2. The Bill for Continuance, Reviving, Repealing, and Explaining of certain Statutes: - The second Reading,

Continuance of Statutes committed to -

Mr. Nathan. Bacon offereth in a Proviso, touching the Transportation of Corn, &c.

To bring in use the old Law, touching Transporting of Corn, at certain Prices, in some other Proportion, to be considered, according to some Orders heretofore taken by the Lords of the Council. -

Old Law giveth Liberty only to the Owner to transport, and not to the Merchant to buy.

Mr. Serjeant Snigge moveth, &c.

Mr. Serjeant Sherley moveth, that the Committees may have Power to bring in a Bill of Repeal by itself.

Mr. Fra. Moore followeth. - That the Proviso, of Mr. Bacon, thought not fit by the Committee. -

Touching Welshe Cottons, a Toleration, or Proviso, was offered to the Committees,

Two Provisoes offered by Mr. Fr. Moore; the One, touching Welshe Cottons; and another touching Broad-cloths, in Surrey, Kent, Reading, &c.

Sir Edwyne Sands, &c.

Mr. Hackwill moveth, that the Book of Common Prayer may be considered by the Committee in the Continuance of Statutes.

Mr. Brooke moveth, that the Statute, touching Dover Peere, may ... repealed in this Statute.

Mr. Fuller agreeth, for Repealing of Dover Peere.

Sir E. Hobby, - touching Sanctuaries to be looked unto.

Mr. Crewe moveth, for the Continuance of the Statute for Dover Peere, by reason of the Wisdom of the former: Concludeth to be continued till the next Parliament.

Sir Tho. Hobby, On the contrary Part to Mr. Crewe. - That some Northern Parts might be exempted; viz. Scardboroughe.

Mr. Martyn moveth, and concludeth, in like Sort, for Exemption for Lyme, in the West Country.
