Prayers.

Ship Sally Rose.

SIR Francis Massam reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill to give Leave to the Ship Sally Rose, formerly taken as Prize, to arrive, and import her Lading, and to trade as an English-built Ship, was committed, That they had examined and considered the same; and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment: And he delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

Ordered, That the Bill be ingrossed.

King appointed to be attended.

Mr. Boscawen acquainted the House, That his Majesty having been attended to know his Pleasure, when he would be attended by this House, his Majesty had been pleased to appoint this Afternoon at Three a Clock, at Kensington.

Supply Bill; Duties on Glass, &c.

An ingrossed Bill for taking away half the Duties lately imposed on Glass-wares, and the whole Duties lately laid on Stone and Earthen-wares, and Tobacco-pipes; and for granting, in lieu thereof, new Duties upon Whale-fins, and Scotch Linen; was read the Third time.

And several Amendments were proposed to be made; Pr. 4. L. 23, and 29, by leaving out "November," and inserting "December," instead thereof:

And the same were, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House; and the Bill amended at the Table accordingly.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for taking away half the Duties lately imposed on Glass-wares, and the whole Duties lately laid on Stone and Earthen-wares, and Tobacco-pipes; and for granting, in lieu thereof, new Duties upon Whale-fins, and Scotch Linen.

Ordered, That Sir Tho. Littleton do carry the Bill to the Lords, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Report of Conference.

Ordered, That the Report of the free Conference be made To-morrow Morning.

Duties on Low Wines.

The House, according to Order, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill to prevent the Frauds and Abuses of Distillers, and others chargeable with the Duties upon low Wines, and Spirits.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Norris took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Norris reported from the said Committee, That they had gone through the Bill, and made several Amendments thereunto; which they had directed him to report, when the House will please to receive the same.

Ordered, That the Report be made To-morrow Morning.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Ten a Clock.
