Parliament further prorogued.

MR. Vice-Chamberlain, and John Smith Esquire, Two of the said Commissioners, attending in the Place before mentioned; together with the Clerk, and Clerk Assistant, and other Clerks; the said Commissioners administred the Oaths appointed to such Members who this Day appeared: Who, with such of those as had been before sworn, and attended, being informed, That the Parliament was to be again prorogued, by Writ directed to the Lords and Commons, they went to the House of Peers: Where the Writ for proroguing the Parliament until the 29th Day of November next was read:

A Copy of which Writ is as followeth; viz.

Gulielmus Tertius, Dei gra', Angliæ, Scotiæ, Franciæ, & Hiberniæ, Rex, Fidei Defensor, &c. prædilectis et fidelibus nostris prælatis, magnatibus, & proceribus, regni nostri Angliæ, ac dilectis et fidelibus nostris militibus, civibus, & burgensibus, dicti regni nostri, ad parliamentum nostrum apud civitat' nostram Westm' hoc instant' vicesimo septimo die Octobris tenend', convocatis & electis, & vestrum cuilibet, salutem. Cum nos, pro quibusdam arduis & urgentibus negotiis, nos, statum et defensionem regni nostri Angliæ, ac ecclesiæ Anglicanæ, concernentibus, dict' parliament' nostrum 24 die Augusti, ulterius præterito, apud civitat' prædict' teneri ordinaverimus; ac vobis, per separalia brevia nostra, apud civitat' et diem prædict' interesse mandaverimus, ad tractand', consentiend', & concludend', super iis, quæ in dicto parliamento nostro tunc & ibidem proponerentur, & tractarentur; cumque nos, per breve nostrum, certis de causis, & considerationibus, nos ad hoc specialiter moventibus, dict' parliament' nostrum ab eodem vicesimo quarto die Augusti usque ad & in vicesimum septim' diem Septembris ult' præterit', & abinde, per al'breve, usque ad & in hunc instantem vicesimum sept' diem Octobris, duximus prorogand'; ita quod nec vos, nec aliquis vestrum, ad dict' die' apud prædict' civitat' comparere teneamini, seu arctemini; volentes, vos, & quemlibet vestrum, inde erga nos penitus exonerari; & per idem breve, vob', & cuilibet vestrum, ad hunc instantem vicesim' septim' diem Octobris, apud civitat' prædict' comparere et interesse nuperrime mandaverimus, ad tractand', faciend', agend', et concludend', super iis, quæ in dicto parliamento nostro contigerint ordinari; quibusdam tamen certis urgentibus de causis, et considerationibus, nos ad hoc specialiter moventibus, dictum parliament' nostrum ab hoc instante vicesimo septimo die Octobris usque ad et in vicesim' non' diem Novembris prox' futur' ulterius duximus prorogand'; ita quod nec vos, nec aliquis vestrum, ad hunc instantem vicesimum septim' diem Octobris apud civitat' predict' comparere teneamini, seu arctemini: Volumus etiam, vos, et quemlibet vestrum, inde erga nos penitus exonerari; mandantes, et tenore præsentium firmiter injungendo præcipientes, vobis, et cuilibet vestrum, ac omnibus aliis, quibus in hac parte intersit, quod ad dictum vicesim' non' diem Novem', apud prædict' civitat' Westm', personaliter compareatis et intersitis, et quilibet vestrum compareat, ad tractand', faciend', agend', et concludend', super iis, quæ in dicto parliamento nostro, de communi consilio dicti regni nostri, favente Deo, contigerint ordinari.
