Correspondence with Denmark.
MR. Speaker, by way of Report, acquaints the Parliament, that he had received a Letter from the Lords Ambassadors Extraordinary from the King of Denmark: Which was this Day read.
Danish Embassy.
Sir Wm. Constable also reports from the Council of State, Some Transactions between the Council and the Lords Ambassadors Extraordinary from the King of Denmark; viz.
A Paper of the Council to the Danish Ambassadors, of the 15th of October 1652:
The Answer of the Danish Ambassadors to the Paper from the Council, of the 15th of October 1652:
And a Paper, delivered by the Danish Ambassadors, of the 18th of October 1652:
The Order of the Council for a Conference with the Danish Ambassadors, of the 18th of October 1652: And the Information of Wm. Crips, of the 15th of October 1652.
Resolved, That the Parliament doth approve of what the Council hath done in the Particulars now reported.
Correspondence with Tuscany.
Mr. Speaker, by way of Report, acquaints the Parliament, That he had received a Letter from the Resident of the Great Duke of Tuscany: Which was read; and was dated from Florence, the 17th of August 1652:
And that he received a Paper from the Resident of the Great Duke of Tuscany, intituled, A brief Memorial of Signior Amerigo Saluetti, Resident for the Great Duke of Tuscany: Which was also read.
Resolved, by the Parliament, That, upon the Desire of the Grand Duke of Tuscany, and out of the Parliament's Respect to him, the Ship, with the Rices, belonging to Captain Cardi of Ligorne, be restored unto him, or the Value thereof.
Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of the Navy, to see this Vote put in Execution.
Ordered, That a Letter be written to the Grand Duke of Tuscany, in Answer to this Letter; to be signed by Mr. Speaker: And that it be referred to the Council of State, to prepare a Letter to that Purpose; and that Mr. Speaker do sign the same.

The Question being propounded, That this Business be re-committed to the Council of State, to take it into Consideration; and present their Opinion to the Parliament, how the same may be managed for the best Service of the State, and Ease of the People:
And the Question being put, That these Words, "by Contract, or otherwise," be added to the Question;
It passed in the Affirmative.
And the main Question being put; It was
Resolved, by the Parliament, That this Business be re-committed to the Council of State, to take it into Consideration; and present their Opinion to the Parliament how the same may be managed, for the best Service of the State, and Ease of the People, by Contract, or otherwise.
Ordered, That this Business be reported To-morrow Fortnight.
