Prayers.

MR. Jacob David, and Mr. Herman Olmius, and John Dumesnill, did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, in order to their Naturalization.

Darwent Navigation.

A Bill for making the River Darwent in the County of Darby navigable, was read.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.

Rebuilding Northampton.

A Bill to enable the Rebuilding, and for erecting a Judicature for Determination of Differences which may arise in the Rebuilding of the Town of Northampton, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time, on Monday Morning next.

Dr. Sandcroft thanked.

Ordered, That the Thanks of this House be returned to Dr. Sandcroft the Dean of St. Paul's, for the Sermon by him preached before this House Yesterday; and that he be desired to print his Sermon: And that Sir Thomas Meres, and Sir Charles Wheeler, do return him the Thanks of the House; and desire him to print his Sermon.

A Bill for the better Preserving the Liberty of the Subject, was read the First time.

White Lion Gaol.

A Bill for the Sale of the White Lion Gaol in Southwarke, in the County of Surrey, was tendered, accepted, and read.

A Bill for better Assurance of such as claim under ancient Fines and Recoveries, was read the Second time.

A Bill to prevent Abuses in collecting the Duty of Hearth Money, was read the Second time.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees which are discontinued, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon, in the Places formerly appointed.

Building Ships.

Sir John Trevor reports from the Committee of the whole House, That . . . had taken Consideration of that Part of his Majesty's Speech, which relates to a Supply for building more Ships, several Votes or Resolves, agreed by the said Committee to be reported to the House: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where they were again read:

And the first Nine Resolves being read a Second time, were, upon the Question, severally agreed; and are as followeth.

Resolved, &c. That One Ship of the First Rate shall be built.

Resolved, &c. That Five Ships of the Second Rate shall be built.

Resolved, &c. That Fourteen Ships of the Third Rate shall be built.

Resolved, &c. That the Ship of the First Rate shall contain and measure One thousand Four hundred Tons.

Resolved, &c. That the Five Ships of the Second Rate shall each contain and measure One thousand One hundred Tons.

Resolved, &c. That the Fourteen Ships of the Third Rate shall each contain and measure, one with another, Nine hundred Tons.

Resolved, &c. That Fourteen Pounds per Ton be allowed for the Building of the Ship of the First Rate.

Resolved, &c. That Twelve Pounds Ten Shillings per Ton be allowed for the Building of the Five Ships of the Second Rate.

Resolved, &c. That the Nine Pounds Ten Shillings per Ton be allowed for the Building of the Fourteen Ships of the Third Rate.

The last Resolve being read a Second time;

The Question being put, Whether this House do agree with the Committee in the last Resolve;

The House divide.

The Noes go forth.

And so it was resolved in the Affirmative; viz.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, that a Supply be raised, not exceeding the Sum of Three hundred thousand Pounds, for the Building, and towards the Guns, Rigging, and other Furnishing, of the Twenty Ships.

The Question being put, That this House do adjourn;

The House divide.

The Noes go forth.

And so resolved in the Affirmative.

And accordingly the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Eight of the Clock.
