Charge that though he raised a troop to oppose the Scots' army on the late invasion, he protected one of them, Walter Heming, who deserted to the King of Scots, and for 12l. 10s. paid by his father, Edw. Heming, preserved him from punishment; and also Wm. Clarke, another traitor, who gave him a good grey horse and a stuffed portmantean in recompense. 161 75

3 Dec. 1653. Capt. Yarranton having brought an action at law against Capt. Boilston, the prosecutor of the charge against him, and Capt. Boilston having appealed to the Commissioners for Indemnity, who indemnified him as having acted for the State, on hearing Yarranton's exceptions against the witnesses, it was resolved— 13 33

1. That Yarranton is not guilty of the charges brought against him.
2. The Order indemnifying Capt. Boilston is confirmed, and Yarranton is to discharge the suit complained of.
3. Fras. England, a witness who has sworn falsely, is to be taken into custody by the Serjeant attending Parliament, till the pleasure of Parliament be known, or till the Committee for Advance of Money release him.
