Maurice Gobion (fn. 2)

First occ. as treas. of Llandaff temp. bp. William, so before 28 Jan. 1230 (Cartae II 478). Occ. several times temp. bp. Elias (1 Dec. 1230-13 May 1240) (e.g. Llandaff Acta no. 80; Cartae II 496-7, VI 2302, 2312). Occ. 11 x 17 June 1234 (Cartae II 490-1) and after 1236 (Llandaff Acta no. 70). Prec. of Llandaff, occ. 7 Aug. 1247 (above, list 11).

M. William of Radnor

Official of Canterbury in Coventry and Lichfield dioc., occ. 3 June 1245 (CPR 1232-47 p. 454). Treas. of Llandaff from an unknown date until received temps. as bp.-el. 14 Sept. 1256 (Close Rolls 1254-6 pp. 360-1). Bp. of Llandaff, el. 28 July 1256, cons. 7 Jan. 1257 (above, list 9).

Also can. of Lichfield, London, Salisbury, Chichester, York, and Wells (1 Fasti I 55, IV 135, V 72, VI 75, VII 107) and other benefices (Reg. Langton I p. xxxiii and n. 106). Keeper of wardrobe and treas. of exchequer (Tout, Chapters II 15-16, 89-92, VI 20, 26). Bp. of Coventry and Lichfield, el. 20 Feb. 1296, temps. 16 June, cons. 23 Dec. 1296 (Reg. Langton I p. xxxii).

Peter of Savoy (fn. 4)

Occ. as treas. of Llandaff 6 March 1292 (CPL I 557). Already a pluralist, although under age (ibid.). Also dean of Salisbury, prec. of Lincoln, can. of Hereford and York; dean of St Martin le Grand, London, and Bridgnorth (1 Fasti III 15, 77, 86, 102-3, IV 12, 76, VIII 33). Abp. of Lyon by papal prov., cons. by 7 Aug. 1308 (Regestum Clementis Papae V, ed. Order of Saint Benedict (7 vols., Rome, 1885-92) no. 2895; not in CPL). But had been succeeded in treasurership of Llandaff by 15 May 1301 (Reg. Winchelsey I 411; 2 Fasti XI 26).
