s. 13 And be it enacted, That in the Chapters of the Cathedral Church[es] of... Peterborough ... the first vacant Canonry shall be suspended, and the Canonry secondly vacant shall be filled up, and the Canonry thirdly vacant shall be suspended ...; and that in the Chapter of the said Church of Peterborough the Canonry secondly vacant shall be subject to the Provisions ... for the Endowment of Archdeaconries by the Annexation of Canonries thereto.

Thus the prebends were reduced by 1847 to the requisite number of four, of which one was annexed to the archdeaconry of Northampton.
