PREBENDARIES OF THORNGATE

This preb. was valueless 3 Sept. 1535 (Valor IV 20). However, it granted the status of a prebendary. John Barefoot and Richard Clayton, both archdeacons of Lincoln, took it in 1595 and 1597 respectively to enable them to become canons residentiary.
