By a fine levied in the quinzaine of Easter, 25 & 26 Hen. VI, between Thomas Hoo the younger, and Bartholomew Bolney, querents, and Thomas Dacre, knt., and Elizabeth his wife, deforciants, of the under-mentioned manors and advowsons, the said Thomas and Elizabeth released all their right in the said premises, for themselves and the heirs of the said Elizabeth, to the said Thomas and Bartholomew, who gave the said premises to the said Thomas and Elizabeth for the term of their lives, without impeachment of waste, with remainder to Richard Fenys, esq., and the said Joan his wife, for the term of their lives without impeachment of waste, with remainder to the heirs of the body of the said Joan.

Being seised of the under-mentioned manor of Framesden in fee, he gave it, 30 Dec., 18 Edw. IV, to Alexander Cressener, esq., Henry Wentworth the elder, John Clopton, Robert Crane, Richard Davers, John Davers, William Clopton, and James Hobart, to the use of Joan, afterwards his wife, late the wife of John Mannok, for the term of her life. One William Carent and William Husee being seised of the under-mentioned manor of Bakehampton in fee, by their writing indented dated 1 May, 7 Edw. IV, gave it to one John Stourton, son and heir of William Stourton, knt., and Katharine his wife, who survives, daughter of Maurice Berkeley, Squire of the Body to King Edw. IV, and the heirs of the body of the said John, with remainder in default to the said William, Lord de Stourton, his heirs and assigns, reserving to themselves out of the said grant the advowson of the free chapel there. And afterwards the said John Stourton died, having had issue the said Francis named in the writ.
William, late Lord Stourton, being seised of the other under-mentioned manors and lands in fee, by deed dated 1 March, 7 Edw. IV, gave them to the said John and Katharine, with like remainders over, reserving out of the said grant the advowson of the church of Alton, and all villeins belonging to the said manors.
On the death of the said John Stourton the reversion of the said manors and lands descended to the said Francis, as his son and heir, who was seised of the said reversion accordingly in fee tail.

By deed dated 20 April, 14 Edw. IV, having obtained licence from the King, he gave 42 virgates of land, parcel of the manor of Chesterton, to Robert Throkmerton, Robert Handy, and Thomas Ligon, ‘gentilman,’ and their heirs, to hold for the life of Godith, wife of Edward Peyto, his elder son, who survives.
He died on the eve of the Assumption last, seised in fee tail, to himself and the heirs of his body, of the manors of Wolfhamcote and Sowe, and the residue of the manor of Chesterton, and seised in fee of the under-mentioned messuages and lands in Chesterton, Drayton, Dodwell, and Pilarton, and of the advowson of the church of Berton. Edward Peyto, who was his son and heir, then aged 30 and more, died 14 Sept. last, not having entered, and having refused to enter, on his father’s estate. John Peyto, aged 9 and more, is cousin and heir of the said John Peyto, esq., viz. son and heir of the said Edward.

Being seised of the under-mentioned manors in fee, he enfeoffed Richard Donstall, knt., John Lord, of Attylborough and others now deceased, of the manors of Wendlyngborough, Craneford, and Wodeford, to the use of his last will; and they, being seised thereof accordingly in fee, demised the said manors to him, as their tenant at will. By his last will, made in extremis, he gave the said manors to his daughter Elizabeth in tail, with remainder, in default, for sale by his executors, to be disposed, in accordance with his said will, for the safety of his soul, and the souls of his ancestors and parents.
Likewise he enfeoffed the said Richard, and John, and others, now deceased, of the under-mentioned manor of Attylborough, to hold to them and their heirs for ever. They demised it to him as their tenant at will. By his last will he gave it to his said daughter, and Thomas Cheney her husband, and the heirs of the body of his said daughter, with remainder in default, after the death of the said Thomas, for sale, as above.
The said Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Cheney of the county of Cambridge, esq., is his daughter aud heir, aged 30 and more.
