He died 21 March last, seised of the under-mentioned lands in fee. Joan Beauchampe, aged 15 and more, is his daughter and heir.
DORSET. A place, or tenement, called ‘Fitonsplace’, a close, a mill, a meadow, and 10a. land, 3 tenements, and 2 cottages adjacent to the said place, in Shirbourne, worth 4l., held of the Bishop of Salisbury in socage, by the rent of 24s. 10 3/4d., for all service.
A close, or pasture, at Stokebrygeyate, within the parish of Lyllyngton, and a close in Holneste, worth 18s. 11 1/2d., held of the said Bishop in socage, by the rent of 10s. 5 1/2d., for all service.

One Thomas Gibbys being seised of the under-mentioned messuages and lands in Ayssheberton, &c., enfeoffed John Cokworthy, John Gambon, John More, John Barnehous, Thomas ….., and Henry Drewe of Blakhall thereof, who demised them to him for life, with remainder to John Gibbys his son, and Agnes wife of the said John, who survives, and the heirs of their bodies.
William Beoff, John Wode, and John Bowdon demised the under-mentioned messuage and land in Fenton to the said John and Agnes, for their lives in survivorship.
The said John being seised of the under-mentioned manor of Boterford, and messuages and lands in Whitebeare, &c., in fee, enfeoffed Roger Keys, Precentor of Exeter Cathedral, John Cheyne of Pynne, John Denys of Orlegh, John Byconell, John Barnehous, John More, David John, Thomas Bromfeld, clk., and William Hyllyng, vicar of Harberton, thereof, to the use of his last will; of whom the said John Cheyne, John Denys, John Byconell and John More having survived their co-feoffees, and being seised of the said messuages, lands, and tenements in Gyttecote and Gyttecote mill in fee, demised them to him for life, with remainder to William son of William son of [him the said] John, and Elizabeth his wife, and the heirs of the body of the said William; by virtue whereof the said John was seised of the premises in his demesne as of frank tenement, and died so seised, after whose decease the said William and Elizabeth entered thereon, and are now seised thereof, in fee tail, and demesne as of frank tenement, respectively.
The said John being seised of the under-mentioned messuages and lands in Great Tottenes, &c., in fee, enfeoffed Thomas Hexte, John Fortiscu, John Kyrton, and Christopher Gybbys, thereof, to the use of his last will to them declared.
He died 28 March last. William Gibbys, aged 16 and more, is his cousin and heir, viz. son of William his son.

He gave the under-mentioned manor and lands to his eldest son Robert Graystok, knt., and Elizabeth his wife, to them and the heirs male of the body of the said Robert. The said Robert died in his father’s lifetime without issue male, and the said Elizabeth is yet living.
He died 8 June last, when the said premises descended to Elizabeth, aged 13 and more, daughter of the said Robert, as his cousin and heir.
SUFF. A moiety of the manor of Wilwesham, worth 7 marks, held of the King, as of the duchy of Lancaster, service unknown.
One hundred acres of land, 200a. pasture, and 40a. marsh in Aylesborn beside Ipswich, worth 5 marks, held of the said duchy, service unknown.

By deed dated 4 May, 13 Edw. IV, one John Orchard and William Coffyn gave the under-mentioned manor to him in tail male, with remainder to the right heirs of one Nicholas Poyntz, his father. He obtained from King Bic. III letters patent of pardon for all acquisitions of land, &c.
He died 10 Oct., 3 Hen. VII. Nicholas Poyntz, aged 21 and more, is his son and heir.

Writ 16 Oct., inq. Saturday before All Hallows, 3 Hen. VII.
One William Dyxson (sic cf. No. 53), chaplain, and John Wylly of Chose[ley], being seised of the under-mentioned manor and lands in Sharnburn, Snetesham, and Sadyl Bowe in fee to the use of the will of Thomas Sharnburn, esq., deceased, enfeoffed one Edmund Bedyngfeld, Henry Heydon, John Wyndham, Henry Straunge, John Fyncham, elder son of John Fyncham, William Cobbe, Simon Bagecrofte, Thomas Walpole, and Thomas Rust, chaplain, thereof to the same use. By his last will the said Thomas directed that Jamona his wife, who survives, should have the said manor and lands for the term of her life. The said John Sharnburn was his son and heir.
The said William Dyxson and John Wylly were seised of a moiety of the under-mentioned manors of Kellnyg and Hodenham, in fee, and being so seized enfeoffed Edmund Bedyngfeld, and the others, as above, thereof, to the use of the said John Sharnburn, and the performance of his last will. By his last will the said John directed his said feoffees to permit Anne, his wife and executrix, to take the issues and profits thereof for the payment of his debts, and thereafter for raising 220 marks to be divided at his executors’ discretion between his five daughters.
By indenture dated 10 June, … Ric. III, the said feoffees demised, with the consent of the said Jamona, the said manor and lands, as also the moiety of the said manors, to the said John as their tenant at will.
He died Tuesday after St. Bartholomew last. Henry Sharnburn, aged 14 and more, is his son and heir.
NORF. Manor of Sharnburn, worth 10l., held of the King, as of the manor of Snetesham, parcel of the duchy of Lancaster, in socage, viz. by fealty, and 17s. yearly rent only, for all service.
Certain lands and tenements, called ‘Dame Cysselys,’ in the town of Snetesham, worth 40s., held of the King, as of the said duchy in socage, viz. by fealty, 26s. rent, and suit of court of the said manor only, for all service.
A messuage in Sadyl Bowe, called ‘Colshale,’ worth 5 marks, held of John, Earl of Oxford, and William Tendale, esq., as of the manor of Medylton, by fealty and 6s. rent only, for all service.

He held the under-mentioned messuage and lands of the King, as of the manor of Rothewell, late belonging to the Earl of Lincoln, parcel of the duchy of Lancaster, free of all services, exactions, and demands, except a rose in the season of roses, if required, and that he and his heirs shall keep within the King’s warren there, late the said Earl’s, a leash of greyhounds and 6 beagles (odorensecos) for hunting without the park there, and shall be ready and prepared, when required by the forester for the time being of the King and his heirs there, with greyhounds and beagles to hunt and kill the King’s fat game (saginam) when in season in the said park.
He died 1 Aug., 1 Hen. VII. Henry Hunt, aged 6 and more, is his son and heir.
YORK. A capital messuage, 6 curtilages, 4 cottages, 2 carucates of land and meadow, and 6 assarts held in severalty at all seasons of the year, in Carleton beside Rothewell, worth 5 marks.

One Thomas Saukvyle, late of Falley, knt., being seised of the under-mentioned manors in fee, gave them to one Nicholas Kentwode, and Maud his daughter, and the heirs male of their bodies. They had issue Robert, who had issue John Kentwode, who, after their death entered into the said manors as their cousin and heir male, and was seised thereof in tail per formam doni, and afterwards died so seised without heir male of his body; and there being no surviving male issue of the said Nicholas and Maud, the said manors ought to revert to Thomas Rokes, esq., as cousin and heir of the said Thomas Saukvyle, viz. son of Margery, daughter of Thomas, son of the said Thomas Saukvyle, knt., father of the said Maud.
He died 5 Oct. last. The said Thomas Rokes, aged 40 and more, is his cousin and heir.

John Broun, citizen and mercer, and alderman of London, Henry Asshborn, John Fenkell, and Edmund Fenkell, being seised of the under-mentioned manors and park in fee, to the use of George Broun, knt., now deceased, and his heirs, demised them, at the request of the said George, to the said George, and Elizabeth his wife, for their lives in survivorship. After the death of the said George, the said Elizabeth was solely seised of the premises in her demesne as of frank tenement, till the said Thomas Hoo unjustly disseised her thereof, and became seised thereof in fee. She subsequently re-entered into the premises, and at the time of his decease was seised thereof in her original estate.
The said John Broun, Henry Asshborn, and John Fenkell were seised of the under-mentioned tenements in Hastynges and Winchelsee, to the use of the said George Broun and his heirs; they were disseised by the said Thomas, but had re-entered prior to his death. Cf. No. 437.

John Jermyn, his father, enfeoffed John Lancastre, William Mounteney, Ralph Hempnale, and John Sprot of the under-mentioned manors of Metefeld and Gosbak, to the use of himself and his heirs. The said John Sprot, having survived as well the said John Jermyn, the father, as also his co-feoffees, was seised of the premises to the use of the said John Jermyn, the son, and died so seised, when they descended to Robert Sprot, his son, who entered thereon, and was seised thereof to the same use.
He died Wednesday before St. Simon and St. Jude last. John Jermyn, aged 40 and more, is his son and heir.

By deed dated 6 Feb., 3 Hen. VII, he gave the under-mentioned manors to Thomas, Earl of Arundell, John Arundell, John Egremond, Lord Egremond, Robert Clyfford, Simon Mountfort, Henry Willoughby, and Richard Hawte, knts., and Thomas Wyldecotes, gent., to the use of his wife the Lady Anne Clynton, and also gave them the under-mentioned third of the manor of Pakyngton, to her use for life.
In his lifetime he charged the said third of the manor of Pakyngton with 40s. for Simon Mountfort, knt., and all the said manors with 4 marks for Henry Willoughby, knt., for life, as steward, and overseer thereof, and governor of all tenants and residents therein; and further charged them with the payment of 4 marks to William Leycroft, to whom also he and his feoffees, by indenture dated 6 Nov., 2 Ric. III, demised the said manors, and all his lands in the counties of Warwick and Stafford, to hold for the term of 7 years.

After the death of the said Thomas and Philippa the said manor descended to the said Joan as their cousin and heir, viz. daughter of Thomas their son.
She was also seised, by virtue of an Act passed in the Parliament held at Westminster, 6 Nov., 12 Edw. IV, and continued by divers prorogations to 8 Feb. following, of all those lands in Holbech whereof Thomas, late Lord Dacre, or Humphrey Dacre, knt., or others to their use, had at any time been seised in fee tail.

One John Rogers, esq., enfeoffed Henry Sharp, clk., John Wolmet, clk., Richard Jay, Ingelram More, John Cryps, and John Elys, clk., of the under-mentioned manors and lands, to the use of himself, and the said Anne then his wife, his heirs and assigns; and the said feoffees received the King’s pardon, 8 May, 1 Hen. VII, for acquiring the premises without licence. The design of the said feoffment was, by the collusion of the said John, to defraud the King of the wardship and marriage of his heirs. The said John took the issues and profits of the premises from the date of the said ffeoffment till his death, when the right to the said manors and lands descended to his daughters (as in No. 117), then respectively aged 26 and more, and 9 and more; and the said Anne, by colour of the said feoffment, took the said issues and profits from his death, to the day of her own decease.
She died 5 June last. John Crosby, aged 17 and more, is her son and heir.
