By deed dated 5 Dec., 16 Edw. IV, Edmund Crofter and Thomas Belton gave the under-mentioned manor and lands to her, and the heirs of her body by William Sydney of Baynardes, esq., her late husband, with remainder to William Sydney of Kyngysham in tail male, with remainder to the right heirs of her said late husband.
She died 19 June, 3 Hen. VII. Robert Uvedale, aged 20 and more, is her son and heir.

He died on Tuesday after the Translation of St. Edward the King last, seised of the under-mentioned manor and land. Elizabeth Rytherffeld, aged 14 and more, is his daughter and heir.
HANTS. Manor and advowson of Retherffyld, in Est Tysted, worth 100s., and 30a. land and 60a. wood in Newton Valence, worth 20s., held of Edward, Lord de Duddeley, as of the manor of Aulton Westbroke, by fealty only, for all service.

403 NICHOLAS STUCLE, esq.
Writ 27 May, 3 Henry VII; inq. the last day but one of October, 4 Hen. VII.
One Thomas Dourish the younger, and John More, being seised of the under-mentioned manors of Wolryngton in fee, gave them to one Hugh Stucle, and Katharine his wife, and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the heirs of her body, with remainder to the heirs of the body of Thomas Affeton, with remainder in default to the right heirs of the said Hugh. The manors descended to the said Nicholas Stucle, as son and heir of the said Hugh and Katharine; and being seised thereof accordingly in fee tail, per formam donacionis, he enfeoffed one John Denys of Orlegh and Richard Pree thereof, who in turn demised them to the said Nicholas, and the heirs male of his body by Thomasine his late wife, with remainder in default to the heirs of his body.
The said John Denys and Richard Pree likewise demised the under-mentioned manor of Hunshaue, and lands in Chilmelegh, Ratclif, and Henstill, whereof they were seised in fee, to the said Nicholas, with the same remainders over.
The said Nicholas enfeoffed the said John Denys and Richard Pree of the under-mentioned manor of Bradford, which he held of the duchy of Cornwall, to the use of his will; and whereas one William Willesdon, who held the under-mentioned land in Churne of the said Nicholas as of the said manor of Bradford, never attorned to the said feoffees, therefore at his death the said Nicholas held the said land of the said duchy.
One Robert Spurwey held the under-mentioned land in Okeford parish, by service of half a knight-fee, of the said Nicholas, who held the same of the King’s mother.
By deed dated 23rd July, 2 Ric. III, the said John Denys and Richard Pree gave the under-mentioned manors of Affeton and Mewshaue, whereof they were seised in fee, to the said Nicholas Stucle, and Anne his wife, who survives, and the heirs of his body, with remainder in default to his right heirs; also, by deed dated 10 Feb., 2 Hen. VII, they gave the under-mentioned land and rent in Queyntys and Hakyngton to the said Nicholas and Anne, with the same remainders over.
He died 27 May last. Thomas Stucle, aged 13 and more, is his son and heir by the said Thomasine his late wife.

Writ 20 Oct., inq. 4 Nov., 4 Hen. VII.
Thomas Broket, brother of the said Edward, and Elizabeth his wife, being seised of the under-mentioned manor of Symondisyd in fee in her right, levied a fine thereof in the Quinzaine of St. John the Baptist, 15 Edw. IV, to Roger Megur, Brian Rocclyff, Matthew Cresse, Richard Pygot, serjeant-at-law, John Pulter, Edward Brocket, and Thomas Felde, to the use of their last will. After their death without issue, Roger Megur released his right therein to the said Brian, and the others, the survivors of whom, viz. the said Brian and Matthew, are now seised of the said manor in fee.
The said Thomas Broket being seised of the under-mentioned manor of Hercus in fee, enfeoffed John Fuller and Thomas Felde thereof, who gave it to Richard Pigot, serjeant-at-law, John Pulter, Edward Broket, and Thomas Abbot, now deceased, and Robert Calton, vicar of the church of St. Ipolite, who survives.
The said Edward Broket being seised of the under-mentioned manor of Almysho, &c., in fee, gave it to Thomas Leventhorp and John Landy to the use of his will.
He died 25 July, 3 Hen. VII. John Broket, aged 28 and more, is his son and heir.

VI, one William Warbelton, and Simon Alman, demised the under-mentioned manor and lands to one William Brocas, by the name of William Brocas the elder, esq., for the term of his life, with remainder to the said Barnard, his son, in tail male, with remainder to the right heirs of William.
The said Barnard died 20 May last, without male issue. John Brocas, esq., aged 40 and more, is his cousin and heir, viz. son of William his brother, and right heir of the said William Brocas, esq., viz. son of William his son.

George, late Archbishop of York, Henry Belknap, esq., and John Godstone, esq., demised the under-mentioned manor to Thomas Hampdene, Thomas Rokes of Asket, Nicholas Statham, William Staveley, and William Palmer of Carleton, to the use of John Breknok, and the said Elizabeth, his then wife, for the term of their lives, with remainder to Thomas (son of Thomas Stonore, esq.) and Sybil his wife, daughter of David, son of the said John Breknok, and the heirs of the body of the said Sybil, with remainder to Alice Smyth, and Margaret Lucy, daughters of the said John Breknok, in tail, with remainder to Christine, late the wife of John Hampdene of Kymbell, sister of the said John Breknok, in tail, with remainder to the right heirs of the said John Breknok. The surviving feoffees, Thomas Rokes and William Staveley, were accordingly seised of the said manor, after the death of the said John, to the use of the said Elizabeth, for the term of her life. The said Thomas Stonore the son and Sybil his wife survive.
She died Thursday before Easter last. Joan Palmer, aged 30 and more, Alice Staveley, aged 28 and more, and Joan Sapcote, aged 26 and more, are her cousins and heirs, viz. daughters of John Fraunceys. knt., her brother.

His lands were in the custody of Brian Rouclyff, one of the barons of the Exchequer, and Robert Castell, by demise from William Alyngton, knt., who had the custody thereof by grant of King Edward IV.

One John Lynacur, son of William Lynacur of Brampton, gave the under-mentioned manors and lands, whereof he was seised in fee, by the name of all those lands and tenements which he had of the gift and feoffment of the said William Lynacur his father in Brampton, Haselond, Egkyngton, Plumley, Westhyll, Swottehall, Hakyngthorp, and Beghton, co. Derby, to the said John Lynacur, by the name of John Lynacur his son, and Nicholaa his wife, daughter of William Algarthorpe, and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the right heirs of the said William Lynacur for ever.

HEREF. Whereas by an inquisition (No. 438) before John Baskirvyle the younger, esq., late escheator in the said county, it was found that the said Roland and Isabel his wife held the manor of Monkelane jointly, to them and the heirs of their bodies, but of whose gift they had the said manor is not specified in the said inquisition; now it is found, that Henry Oldecastell, Thomas Bromwyche, and John Milewater, esqs., and John Bromhill, rector of the church of Olde Radnore, by deed dated 21 Jan., 34 Hen. VI, gave the said manor of Monkelone to the said Roland, therein described as son and heir of Roland Leynthall, knt., and the said Isabel, wife of the said Roland the son, sister to Walter Devereux, knt., to hold to them, and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder in default to the right heirs of the said Roland Leynthall, knt.
Roland Leynthall the son died 12 May, 3 Hen. VII., without issue by the said Isabel, who survives.

One John Threscher, and Robert More of Hadham, enfeoffed Thomas Grey, knt., William Say, Ralph Bawde, and George Newport, esqs,, Brian Roclyffe, one of the barons of the Exchequer, Thomas Leventhorpp of London, Thomas Tremayle, John Oulgrave, and Robert Berdesey, ‘gentilmen,’ Roger Kelsale, Walter Williams, Richard Dagynhale, Thomas Popley, Thomas Clerke, and the said John Hawkyn of the under-mentioned lands. Afterwards the said Ralph, George, Robert, Roger, Walter, and Thomas Popley died, and the survivors, at the request of the said Thomas Clerke, and Elizabeth his wife, released all their right in the said premises to the said Thomas and Elizabeth, and the heirs of their bodies for ever. And afterwards the said John Hawkyns died, and the said Thomas Clerke, who survived him, was and is seised in fee of whatever share the said John had in the said messuage and lands.
He died 8 June last. George Hawkyn, aged 22 and more, is his son and heir.
HERTS. A messuage, 100a. arable, 6a. meadow, and 6a. wood, formerly called ‘Mores’ in Hadham, worth 4 marks, held of the Bishop of London, as of the manor of Hadham, service unknown.

He died 10 Feb., 22 Edw. IV, seised of the under-mentioned manors in fee. John Langley, aged 16 and more, is his son and heir, and is now in the custody of William Malyverey.
Richard Guldeford, knt., occupied the said manors from the said 10 Feb., 22 Edw. IV., to All Hallows then next, when he was expelled therefrom by the said William Malyverey. The said William then occupied the premises, and took all the issues profits which had accrued during the said term, being in the hands of the farmers, tenants, and other occupiers, by what right the jurors do not know. He continued in possession of the said manors from the said feast of All Hallows, 1 Ric. III, to the last day of August, 1 Hen. VII. From the said last day of August, 1 Hen. VII. to the day of the taking of this inquisition the said Richard Guldeford, knt., has occupied the said manors, and except for Easter term last, has taken the profits thereof, by what right the jurors do not know.
By virtue of the above findings the King’s Commissioners, viz. Nicholas Vaus, knt., Thomas Grene, knt., Thomas Aleyn, and John Clerk, have seised the said manors into the King’s hands.
N’HAMP. Manor of Pottecote, worth 40s., held of the King, as of Rokyngham castle, by 2s. rent at Michaelmas yearly, for all service.

KENT. He was born at Est Pekham, co. Kent, on the feast of St. Leonard the Abbot, 7 Edw. IV, and baptized in the parish church there. The same day Alan Braytoft, chaplain, was inducted to the vicarage of Tunbrygge beside Est Pekham; Stephen Prebyll married Alice daughter of Walter Gylys; &c.
His lands were in the custody of John Roger and Roger Appilton, by the grant of King Edward IV.

COVENTRY. One hundred acres of pasture lying in Coventry in a certain pasture called ‘Shortley feldes,’ and 6a. moor and meadow lying in Stoke, worth 8 marks. There was fermerly in the said pasture a certain mansion, then called the manor of Shortley, which mansion is now wholly desolated and laid waste. The said lands are held of Arthur, the King’s eldest son, Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, and Earl of Chester, as of the manor of Chilesmor, in Coventry, parcel of the earldom of Chester, which earldom is annexed to the said duchy of Cornwall, by service of one grain of gillyflower yearly, for all service.
