He died on Wednesday before the Purification, 23 Edward III. Margery, wife of John Billing, aged 20 years, Joan, wife of Hugh Arthur, aged 16 years, and Elizabeth, aged 9 years, daughters of the said Nicholas, are his heirs.

He died on 4 August last. Eleanor, aged 7 years, and Joan, aged 3 years, his daughters, are his heirs.

Westle. The manor (extent given) held for life of the heir of Laurence de Hastynges, earl of Pembroke, a minor in the king’s wardship. The said manor is held of the lady of Clare by homage and fealty.
He died on Trinity Monday last. The son of the aforesaid Laurence de Hastinges is his heir, but of his name and age the jury are ignorant.

Two messuages, three virgates and 5a. land held of the king in chief by petty serjeanty as parcel of seven messuages and seven virgates of land in the hands of divers tenants, which are held (tenentur integre) by a petty serjeanty, viz. carrying a little flag (penecellum) in the king’s army before the footmen of the hundred of Wotton.
A messuage and two virgates of land held of John Danyel by rendering 1d. yearly and by knight’s service.

Yapum. A certain tenement, viz. 23s. rent of free men and 51s. rent of tenants at will and cottars, held of the king in chief as of the crown, by service of a fifth part of a certain serjeanty, the whole of which serjeanty is held of the king in chief by service of finding a man with bow and arrows in the king’s castle of York at his own costs for forty days, if there should be war in the county, and by homage.
He held no other lands &c. in the county.
He died on 14 July last. Denise, daughter of Robert de Reppyng (sic), brother of the said Remigius, married to Robert de Stodhagh, aged 26 years and more, is his heir. There is no issue as yet of the marriage.

The whole manor is held of the king in chief as of the lands late of William de Coucy, which are in the king’s hand, by homage and service of 7 1/2d. yearly and by suit at the king’s court of Warton every three weeks.

He held divers other lands &c. in the county of divers other lords shortly before his death, but of whom and by what services and of the value thereof the jury are ignorant.

Two messuages and eight bovates of land held of the king in chief, as of the lands late of Robert de Clifford in the king’s hand by reason of the minority of his heir, by homage and service of 2s. 8d. blanch farm yearly (pro alba firma), and by suit at the mill of the said town at the rate of a thirteenth for multure (molendo bladum suum ad xiijm granum).

A messuage, a carucate of land, 7a. meadow and 15s. rent held of the king in chief, as of the manor of Lyford, which is in the king’s hand by the death of Thomas de Coudray, knight, late lord thereof, by knight’s service and by rendering 37s. 8d. yearly and 4 1/2 bus. 1 pk. corn, and also by rendering to the chaplain serving in the chapel of Lyford 1 qr. 1/2 bus. 1 pk. corn and by doing suit at the court of the manor of Lyford every three weeks.
Thomas de Coudray held the manor of Padeworth, co. Berks, of the king in chief by knight’s service, and the manors of Padeworth and Lyford were taken into the king’s hand on his death.
