Thursday, July 1. Present:—Mr. Eliot, Mr. Gascoyne.

The Earl of Dartmouth, one of His Majesty's principal Secretaries of State, attends.

New York.

Mr. Burke, agent for the Province of New York, attending as desired, and also Mr. Jackson, their Lordships had some conversation with them touching the question upon which Mr. Burke desires to be heard by his Counsel, respecting the claims to lands on Lake Champlain under Canadian grants, and it was resolved, that Mr. Burke should be heard, if he thinks fit, upon any questions touching the said claims, which, upon consideration of the papers relating thereto, shall appear to affect the rights or interests either of those who claim lands there under grants or Warrants from New York, or of the Province at large.

Bahamas, Virginia, New Hampshire.

The draught of a representation to His Majesty on the draughts of instructions for the Governor of Jamaica having been prepared pursuant to order, was approved and signed; as were also representations to His Majesty for the disallowance of two Acts of New York, and one of the Bahama Islands; upon the votes and resolutions of the House of Burgesses of Virginia; and of the House of Representatives of New Hampshire.

Bahamas.

The draught of a letter to the Governor of the Bahamas on the subject matter of two Laws passed there in 1772, having been prepared pursuant to order, was approved and signed.

Nova Scotia, East Florida.

The Secretary laid before the Board draughts of General instructions and of those for the observance of the laws of trade, prepared pursuant to order, for the Governors of Nova Scotia and East Florida, and the said draughts having been approved, representations to His Majesty thereupon were signed.

Grenada.

Their Lordships took into consideration the state of His Majesty's Council for the Island of Grenada, and two representations to His Majesty were signed, recommending several persons to supply vacancies therein.

New York.

The draught of a report to the Lords of the Committee of Council upon the petition of Colonel Bradstreet, praying a grant from the Crown of a tract of land purchased by him of the Indians, having been prepared pursuant to order on the 8th ultimo, was approved and signed.

New York.

The Earl of Dartmouth, one of His Majesty's principal Secretaries of State, attends, and his Lordship having communicated to the Board a letter he had received from the Governor of New York, inclosing certain articles of agreement for the final settlement of the line of Jurisdiction between the Province of New York and Massachusets Bay, duly executed by the Commissioners named on one side and the other; their Lordships took the said letter and agreement into consideration, and a representation to His Majesty, recommending the Royal confirmation of the said agreement, was signed.

Their Lordships read and considered an Act passed in the Province of New York in March, 1772, for settling a line of partition between the City of New York and Township of Harlem, together with Mr. Jackson's report thereupon, and a representation to His Majesty, proposing the Royal confirmation of the said Act, was signed.

Proprieties, Pennsylvania.

Their Lordships also read and considered two Acts passed in the Province of Pennsylvania in October, 1772, together with Mr. Jackson's report thereupon, and a report to the Lords of the Committee of Council for Plantation affairs on the subject matter of the said Laws was signed.

The Secretary laid before the Board the following papers received from the Committee of the Company of Merchants trading to Africa, vizt.:
Copy of a letter from David Mill, Esquire, Governor of Cape Coast Castle, to the Committee of the Company of Merchants trading to Africa, dated 30th January, 1773.
Correspondence concerning the Mumford Palaver.
Copy of a letter from Mr. Thomas Trinder to the Governor and Council at Cape Coast Castle, dated Winebah Fort, 18th January, 1773.
Copy of a letter from Governor Mill to the African Committee, dated Cape Coast Castle, 24th February, 1773.
Copy of a letter from Governor Mill to the Commander of His Britannic Majesty's ships on the Coast of Africa, dated Cape Coast Castle, 4th February, 1773.

The said papers having been read and considered, a letter to Lord Suffolk on the subject matter of them, so far as they relate to the disputes with the Dutch upon the coast of Africa, was signed.

Grenada, St. Vincent's.

Their Lordships read and considered an application of Antoine Roux and Rosette, his wife, Elizabeth Michel, Victoire Michel and Adelaide Michel, interested in a lease of one hundred and thirty five acres of land in the Island of St. Vincent, for their Lordships' approbation and allowance of an assignment of the said lease to Nicholas Auguste Michel and Toussaints Teteron, and it was ordered, that the Secretary should certify their approbation of such assignment.
