All references are to serial numbers in the text, not to pages. To indicate individuals' service as Common Councilmen, those serving during the club's recorded life are designated 'CC', those who served before 1714 but not between 1714 and 1716 are designated 'CCp', and those elected only after 1716 are designated 'CCf'. Service as an Alderman (Ald) or as an MP is indicated in the same way. In recording the presence of individuals at the club's meetings, only the total number of attendances has been given for those present at seven or more meetings; this total is given together with a reference to the first and last meetings attended (e.g., attended seven times, 7-27). London street and tenement names have not been indexed. The names of trades and occupations have been grouped together under the heading 'Trades and occupations'.
