Message to H. C. with a Bill.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir William Childe and Sir William Glascocke:

To return them the Bill concerning the Ordering of the Forces of this Kingdom, wherein the Lords have made some Alterations, and added some Provisos; and desire their Concurrence therein.

Bill to prevent the Exportation of Leather.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to restrain the Exportation of Leather, and Raw Hides out of this Realm of England."

Rivers of Wye, Lugg, &c. Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the making navigable the Rivers of Wye and Lugg, and the Rivers and Brooks in the Counties of Hereford, Gloucester, and Monmouth."

Pilchard Fishery Bill.

The Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Bill for regulating the Pilchard Fishing; and do think it sit to pass, with a small Alteration:" Which, being read Twice, was Agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the Regulation of the Pilchard Fishing, in the Counties of Devon and Cornwall."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendment, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill to prevent Frauds in Customs.

The Lord Ashley reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Bill concerning the regulating of Abuses and Frauds in the King's Customs; and have made several Alterations and Amendments therein, which they offer to the Consideration of the House:" Which, being read Twice, were approved of.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for preventing Frauds, and regulating Abuses, in His Majesty's Customs."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill, with the Alterations and Amendments now read, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill for Money for Officers who were in the King's Service.

ORDERED, That the Bill for distributing Threescore Thousand Pounds amongst the Commission Officers that have served the King, shall be read the First Time To-morrow Morning.

Silk Throwing Bill.

The Lord Berkley of Berkley reported the Bill concerning Silk Throwing, as sit to pass, with some Alterations; which were received, and ordered to be read and considered of To-morrow Morning.

M. of Winton, L. St. John, & al.

ORDERED, That the Cause concerning the Lord Marquis of Winton, the Lord St. John his Son, Henry Lord Pawlett, Edward Lord Pawlett, Charles Pawlett Esquire, Daniell Wicherley, and all others concerned in the Matter of a Bill depending in this House, brought in by the Lord Marquis and his said Son, shall be heard, at this Bar, on Thursday the Four and Twentieth of this Instant April, at Nine of the Clock in the Morning, by their Counsel and Witnesses; and that the said Lords Pawletts, or One of them, shall be permitted to have a Copy of a Quadripartite Deed, mentioned in the said Bill, upon Sight hereof; and lastly, that all Persons concerned in this Cause (having Warning thereof) are to come prepared, with their Counsel and Witnesses, to the said Hearing accordingly.

Witnesses to attend, concerning them.

ORDERED, That Sir George Coney of Lyncolne's Inn Feilds Knight, and Daniell Wicherley Gentleman, shall personally appear, at this Bar, as Witnesses on the Behalf of the Lord Henry Pawlett and others, on Thursday the 24th of this Instant April, at Nine of the Clock in the Morning, in a Cause concerning the Lord Marquis of Winton, the Lord St. John his Son, and others, upon a Bill exhibited by them; and the said Sir George and Wicherley are at that Time to produce such Writings as are in their Custody concerning the Matter now in Question before their Lordships: And herein they may not fail.

Adjourn.
