Message from H. C. to return Mascall's Bill and Pitt's Bill; and that they do not insist on the Clauses to the Bp. of Winton's Bill, for Water-works at Alverstoke.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Henry Colt and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting a Copperas Work, late Part of the Estate of Robert Mascall Esquire, deceased, in Trustees, to be sold for, Payment of Debts and other Charges thereupon;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the Lords Amendments made therein.

Also a Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Harley and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to confirm a Conveyance made by George Pitt Esquire and others, of Tarrant Preston, and other Lands, in the County of Dorset, to John Pitt Gentleman, and the Heirs Males of his Body;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.

Also a Message from the House of Commons, by Sir John Bowles and others:

To acquaint this House, that they do not insist upon the Clauses A. and B. added to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming a Lease granted by the Lord Bishop of Winton, of a Parcel of Waste Ground in Alverstock, in the County of South'ton, for the erecting of Water-works there, and for improving the same."

Wool, Fuller's Earth, &c. Bill to explain Acts against the Exportation of.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Explanation and better Execution of former Acts made against Transportation of Wool, Fullers Earth, and Scouring Clay."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill, and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Explanation and better Execution of former Acts made against Transportation of Wool, Fullers Earth, and Scouring Clay."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice, the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Smoak Silver, Peter Pence, &c. Bill to take away the Payment of.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to take away the Payments of Smoak Silver, Peter Pence, and Common Fine, and the Sheriffs Tourne."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Tuesday next; and that some of the Judges do attend.

Panther & al. Prize-ships, to trade as English Ships, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act that the Ships Panther, Gloucester Frigot, Scarborough, and Antelope, formerly taken as Prizes and condemned, may have Freedom of trading as English Ships."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to the same Committee to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for settling and adjusting the Proportions of fine Silver and Silk, for the better making of Silver and Gold Thread, and to prevent the Abuses of the Wiredrawers," is referred.

Militia Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for raising the Militia of this Kingdom for the Year One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight, although the Month's Pay formerly advanced be not repaid."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Tuesday next.

Address to the King, for a Place in Westm. Hall, for Trials of Goudet & al.

The House took into Consideration the Conference had Yesterday with the House of Commons, in relation to their being present at the Trial of John Goudet and others, as a Committee of the whole House.

And ORDERED, That the Lord Great Chamberlain do humbly move His Majesty, from this House, "That He will be pleased to give Order for a Place to be prepared in Westm'r Hall, for this House to proceed upon the Trials of John Goudet and others, who now stand impeached before this House."

Wire-drawers to be heard against the Gold and Silver Thread Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of the Silver and Gold Wire-drawers, and actual Workers of the same Wire, in Behalf of themselves and many Hundred of poor Families of that Employment:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, as desired, at the Committee to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for settling and adjusting the Proportions of fine Silver and Silk, for the better making of fine Silver and Gold Thread, and to prevent the Abuses of the Wire-drawers," To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers.
