Marquis of Normanby takes the Oaths.

This Day Roman Russell and James Bamford were sworn, to the Truth of John Lord Marquis of Normanby's receiving the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper.

Then John Lord Marquis of Normanby, Lord Privy Seal, took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Great Yarmouth Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for explaining and making effectual a late Statute, concerning the Haven and Piers of the Borough of Great Yarmouth, and for confirming the Rights and Privileges of the said Borough."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Wednesday the Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Morris's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate of Charles Morris Esquire, for the Payment of Debts charged thereupon, and for the making Provision for his Younger Children."

E. Peterborough versus Sir John Germaine and Lady Mary Mordaunt.

Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Charles Earl of Peterborow is Appellant, and Sir John Germaine and the Lady Mary Mordaunt are Respondents:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Wednesday next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon.

Prince of Denmark's Bill.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That To-morrow, at Eleven a Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee, to proceed further on the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enabling Her Majesty to settle a Revenue, for supporting the Dignity of his Royal Highness Prince George Hereditary of Denmark, in case he shall survive Her Majesty;" and that all the Lords be summoned then to attend, and acquainted with this Order.

Town of Nottingham versus River Darwent, Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of the Mayor and Burgesses of the Town and County of the Town of Nottingham; praying to be heard, by their Counsel, before the passing of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making the River Darwent, in the County of Derby, navigable:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, by their Counsel, on Monday next, at Eleven a Clock; as also Counsel for the Bill, before the Second Reading thereof.

Sir T. Brograve's Bill.

The Duke of Bolton reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to vest divers Lands and Tenements of Sir Thomas Brograve Baronet, in the County of Hertford, in Trustees, to be sold; and to settle other Lands and Tenements in Lieu thereof," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

D. Ormond's and Flag Officers Journals:

The Duke of Bolton reported from the Lords Committees (appointed to consider of the Duke of Ormond's and the Flag Officers Journals in the Expedition to Cadiz), "That the House be moved, That a Message be sent to the Commons, that Sir George Rooke and Sir Thomas Hopson may have Leave to attend the Committee appointed to consider of the Duke of Ormond's and the Flag Officers Journals in the Expedition to Cadiz, to answer some Questions, which their Lordships think necessary to ask them."

Which was agreed to by the House.

Message to H. C. for Sir G. Rooke and Sir T. Hopson to attend Lords Committees about them.

Whereupon, a Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Legard and Mr. Rogers:

To desire that they will give Leave that Sir George Rooke and Sir Thomas Hopson (fn. 1) do attend the Committee (appointed to consider of the Duke of Ormond's and Flag Officers Journals in the Expedition to Cadiz), to answer some Questions which their Lordships think necessary to ask them.

Causes removed.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That all the Causes on which Days were appointed be removed, (fn. 1) do come on in Course after the Causes appointed this Day.

Richmond & al. versus Lord Mayor & al. London.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause wherein Richard Richmond and Peter Delannoy are Appellants, and the Lord Mayor, Citizens, and Commonalty of the City of London are Respondents, on Friday the Nine and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Eleven a Clock.

Haberdashers Company versus Attorney General.

Whereas this Day was appointed, for hearing of the Cause wherein the Master and Wardens of the Haberdashers Company are Appellants, and Her Majesty's Attorney General, and the Inhabitants of the Parish of Newland, in the County of Gloucester, and the Poor thereof, are Respondents:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Thursday the One and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Eleven a Clock.
