PRAYERS.

The Lord Keeper acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Commission for the further proroguing of this Parliament."

Then the Lords Commissioners, in their Robes, being seated on a Form, placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Keeper in the Middle; the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury on his Right Hand; and the Lord Granville on his Left Hand; commanded the Deputy Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to go to the House of Commons, and let them know, "That the Commissioners desire they would be present, to hear the said Commission read."

Who being come, with their Speaker; the Commission was read by the Clerk, as followeth: (videlicet,)

Then the Lord Keeper said,

Parliament prorogued.

"My Lords and Gentlemen,

"By Virtue of Her Majesty's Commission now read, and to us directed, we do, in Her Majesty's Name prorogue this Parliament to Thursday the Nineteenth Day of October next: And this Parliament is prorogued accordingly to Thursday the Nineteenth Day of October next."
