Hodie Ia vice lecta est Billa, An Act for Explanation of a former Act, made in the Forty-third Year of the late Queen Elizabeth, intituled, An Act for the enabling of Edward Nevile, of Birlinge, in the County of Kent, and Sir Herry Nevile, Knight, his Son and Heir Apparent, to dispose of certain Copyhold Lands, Parcel of the Manor of Rotherfeild, in the County of Sussex, and of the Manors of Allesley and Fillongley, in the County of Warwick.

Encouragement of Fishing.

Hodie Ia vice lecta est Billa, An Act to encourage the Seamen of England to take Fish, whereby they may increase, to furnish the Navy of England.

Garbling Spices, &c.

The Proviso added by the Committees on the Bill, intituled, An Act for the Well-garbling of Spices, was this Day Twice read, and thereupon appointed to be ingrossed.

L. Treasurer's Remembrancer.

Mr. Osborne, the Lord Treasurer's Remembrancer' called into the House, and heard what he could say touching the Bill of the Exchequer.

Free Liberty of Trade.

The Merchants for the Bill of Free Trade, and the Merchants of the several Companies against that Bill, heard this Day, by their Learned Counsel:

Mr. Attorney heard for the King, who speake against the Bill, especially for the Form of it, and declared many Defects and Inconveniences thereof; howbeit he acknowledged the Purpose and Intent of the Bill to be good.

L. Mountague released, upon his Submission.

The Lord Viscount Mountagu, according to the Order of the House of the last of June, came this Day into the House; and, being brought to the Bar, did signify unto all the Lords, how far it was, and ever should be, from him, to do any Thing out of any ill Disposition, or Meaning to offend them; rendering unto their Lordships most humble Thanks, for their no less favourable Construction of his Intention, than for their most honourable and present Releasement of him; with Protestation of his most humble and dutiful Zeal towards His Majesty, as also of his most loving and devoted Affection towards all their Lordships.

HODIE 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the Establishing and Confirmation of certain Articles of Agreement, by the Right Honourable Thomas Lord Ellesmere, Lord Chancellor of England, Charles Earl of Notingham, Lord High Admiral of England, Robert Lord Cecill of Essingden, Principal Secretary to the King's Majesty, and Sir John Popham, Knight, Lord Chief Justice of England; concluded on between the Right Honourable Graie Lord Chandois, Baron of Sudelie, of the First Part; the Right Honourable Frauncis Lady Chandois, Widow, late Wife of Giles late Lord Chandois, deceased, of the Second Part; Sir John Kennedey, Knight, and Elizabeth, eldest Daughter, and one of the Coheirs of the said Lord Giles, and now Wife of the said Sir John Kenedey of the third Part; and Katherine Bridges, youngest Daughter and the other Coheir of the said Lord Giles, of the Fourth Part.

It was this Day ORDERED by the Court, That a Writ of Habeas Corpus shall be awarded, for the bringing of Marmaduke Redmaine, the Lord Montegle's Servant, by the Sheriffs of London and Middlesex (in whose Custody he now remaineth upon Execution and other Process), before the Lords, in the said Upper House, upon Tuesday, the Third of this Instant July, by Three of the Clock in the Afternoon.
