Garbling Spices.

The said Bill, and the Bill for the Well-garbling of Spices, sent to the Lower House (for their Consideration of the Amendments, and Provisos thought meet to be added by their Lordships) by Mr. Dr. Swale and Mr. Dr. Hone.

Continuing, Reviving, &c. Statutes.

Message sent by them, for a further Conference to be had, by the former Committees of both Houses, on the Bill, intituled, An Act for the continuing and reviving of divers Statutes, and for Repeal of some others. The Meeting desired by their Lordships to be this present Afternoon, by Two of the Clock, at Whitehall, in the Presence Chamber; whereunto the Lower House returned Signification of their Assent.

HODIE 3a vice lecta est Billa, An Act against Brokers.

Painting.

The Amendments on the Bill, intituled, An Act for Redress of certain Abuses used in Painting, which were added by the Lower House, were this Day Thrice read, and thereupon the Bill expedited.

Lord Montegle's Privilege.

Marmaduke Redmaine, the Lord Montegle's Servant, was this Day brought into the House (according to the Order of the Court taken Yesterday) by the Sheriff of Middlesex; and, after he had been heard in the House, and the Lords had debated and considered of the Cause, it was thought meet by their Lordships, That he should be re-committed, and returned again in the Custody of the said Sheriff, and by him to be brought again into the House upon Thursday Morning next, the 5th of this Instant, by Nine of the Clock, to be farther heard and proceeded with; and that a Writ of Habeas corpus should be awarded, for the bringing of him by the said Sheriff accordingly; at which Time their Lordships also appointed to hear another Complaint against the said Redmaine, exhibited this Day by one Ingram Marton, Gentleman, whose Petition in that Behalf was read in the House.

The Bill, intituled, An Act for the Explanation of a former Act, made in the Forty-third Year of the late Queen Elizabeth, intituled, An Act for the enabling of Edward Nevile, of Birlinge, in the County of Kent, and Sir Henry Nevile, Knight, his Son and Heir Apparent, to dispose of certain Copyhold Lands, &c. was this Day returned to the House by the Earl of Shrewsburie, the first of the Committees, with certain Amendments, and a Proviso offered to be added; which Amendments and Proviso were presently Twice read, and thereupon the said Proviso appointed to be ingrossed.
