Establishing Leases by the Prince, and his Officers to account upon Oath.

THE Bill, intituled, An Act for the enabling and making good of Leases and Grants to be made by the Prince, and for yielding of Accompts upon Oath by his Highness's Officers from Time to Time, which was formerly referred to Committees, was this Day brought back, and delivered into the House, by the Lord Archbishop of Yorke, being first of the Committees; who declared, That the Amendments were very many, and somewhat intricate; in which respect his Lordship also delivered the Draught of a New Bill, answerable to the former, as it now standeth amended, leaving the Consideration of both the said Bills to the Wisdom of the House; but, forasmuch as this Form of returning Bills committed agreeth not with the ancient Course of the House, therefore, by general Assent, both the said Bills were again given to the same Committees, who presently, according to the Direction of the House in that Behalf, withdrew themselves, and went into the Painted Chamber; and afterward the said Lord Archbishop delivered the said former Bill, and declared, That the Lords Committees found so many Defects and Imperfections therein, and so many Amendments necessary to be made, that their Lordships thought it not fit the said Bill should any further proceed, but sleep; and withall his Lordship also declared, That the Lords Committees have, by Advice of the Lords the Judges appointed by this House to attend them, caused a new Bill to be framed, to the Effect of the former, and answerable thereunto, as the same standeth now amended; which his Lordship offered to the House, as fit, in the Opinion of the Lords Committees, to pass; which new Bill being intituled, An Act for the making good of Leases and Grants to be made by the Noble Prince Henry, and for the yielding of true Accounts upon Oath by his Highness's Officers, from Time to Time, was presently 1a et 2a vice lecta, and Ordered to be ingrossed.

Exportation of Ordnance. Preservation of Timber.

Appointed, That as well the Bill against Transportation of Iron Ordnance, as the Bill for Preservation and Increase of Wood and Timber, shall be further considered of, by the Lords Committees thereof, on Saturday, the 24th of this Instant November; and, for that Purpose, the said Lords Committees to meet, by Eight of the Clock in the Morning, in the Little Chamber, near the Parliament Presence.
