Rodier's Petition, versus Earl of Warwick.

WHEREAS Jaques Rodier exhibited his Petition Yesterday, shewing, "That his Ship, called The Golden Lyon, being laden with Fish, from Newfoundland, for Rocchell (the Goods being Protestants Goods), was surprised by Captain Gyles, commanding in a Man of War belonging to the Earl of Warwicke; and that the Council Table had required the Judge of the Admiralty, that, in Case the Ship and Goods were proved to be the Ship and Goods of Protestants, that they should be discharged; but the said Earl of Warwicke claims his Privilege of Parliament, to defer the same;" the which Petition of the said Rodier was Yesterday referred to the Lords Committees for Petitions.

It was this Day reported by the Earl of Essex, That the Earl of Warr. is contented to wave his Privilege; so that the said Order from the Council Board may be withdrawn, and so proceed according to the ordinary Course of Law in the Admiralty.

Which was Ordered accordingly.

New Executions against any released by Privilege of Parliament.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the better Explanation of a former Act, made in the First Year of the Reign of King James, intituled, An Act for new Executions to be sued against any which shall hereafter be delivered out of Execution by Privilege of Parliament, and for Discharge of them out of whose Custody such Persons shall be delivered.

Earl of Warwick's Privilege.

His Ship The Neptune arrested.

Upon Complaint made to the House, That one Tynker, an Officer of the Admiralty, had arrested a Ship belonging to the Earl of Warwicke, called The Great Neptune, at the Suit of Sir Andrewe Grey, Knight, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament; it is Ordered, That they shall be brought before the Lords, to answer the said Contempt.
