1362.	(f. 2) John de Croindole, doctor of canon law, kinsman of David, king of Scots. Whereas when the canonry of Ross and annexed prebend of Newerch and Roskevin ought to have been void by the dimission of Andrew de Busco on obtaining a canonry and prebend of Moray, and whereas Andrew continued to hold them by a new collation of the ordinary, and then on Andrew's death John obtained them by authority of the same ordinary, he prays for confirmation of the collation, or for provision anew, notwithstanding that he has a canonry of Aberdeen with the annexed church of Wchtyrles, and a canonry of Dunkeld, which he resigns. Nicholas de Aston, master of theology, lately chancellor of the university of Oxford, the queen's clerk, and sent to the pope by the university touching the promotion of masters of theology, doctors of canon and civil law, and masters of arts. Whereas Innocent VI. on last Assumption by word of mouth promoted him to the deanery of Chichester, but died before the grant could be executed, he prays for provision of the same, and for the annexed canonry and prebend, void by the consecration of William, bishop of Chichester, notwithstanding that he has the church of Stone in the same diocese, which he is ready to resign. Whereas John Leye accepted in forma pauperum the church of Bishop's Morchard, in the diocese of Exeter, and afterwards had a suit about it with Robert Bonuslond, which is now pending in the papal palace, and whereas Robert died at the Roman court, John prays for succession to him in his right to the said church.
