Covers the areas in the north and east of the county, including much of what is now south London. Areas covered include Southwark, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Merton and Sutton, as well as the part of the east of the historic county not now within Greater London, around Oxted, Caterham and Lingfield.

Covers the area surrounding Chichester, from Selsey on the south coast to Midhurst to the north, and from Bognor Regis in the east to the county border with Hampshire in the west. The city of Chichester itself is covered in volume 3.

Covers the rape and honour of Lewes, in the east of the county. It includes an extensive account of the borough of Lewes itself, as well as detailing the parishes from the old parish of Crawley and the county border in the north, to coastal areas in the south, including Brighton to the west and Newhaven in the east.
A History of the County of Warwick: Volume 6, Knightlow Hundred
Covers Knightlow hundred, in the south-east corner of the county, and bordering Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. It covers the areas surrounding Coventry and Warwick, and includes an account of the boroughs of Leamington Spa and Rugby. (Coventry and Warwick themselves are treated separately, in volume 8.)
A History of the County of Warwick: Volume 4, Hemlingford Hundred
Hemlingford hundred lies in the north of the county, to the north and east of Birmingham. The volume covers several parishes now near or within the Birmingham area, as well as the boroughs of Sutton Coldfield and Nuneaton. Birmingham itself is covered in volume 7.

Kington hundred lies directly south of Warwick, between the rivers Avon to the west and Itchen to the east. The volume covers the 54 parishes of the hundred, including Atherstone-on-Stour, Brailes and Kineton.

Contains accounts of the parishes of these two hundreds in the north-east of the county, and of the town of Marlborough.
A History of the County of Wiltshire: Volume 16, Kinwardstone Hundred
The volume relates the history of the 15 parishes in Kinwardstone hundred in east Wiltshire, including Froxfield and Great and Little Bedwyn. The hundred lay between two medieval royal forests, Savernake and Chute.
A History of the County of Wiltshire: Volume 18
This volume covers nine parishes in northern Wiltshire, a block on the border with Gloucestershire to the north and which abuts Swindon to the east. Coverage of the town of Cricklade takes up roughly one third of the volume.
A History of the County of Worcester: Volume 3
Covers two parts of the historic county: firstly, the hundred of Halfshire in the north-east, which includes several areas now within the greater Birmingham area, including Dudley, Halesowen and Yardley. Accounts are given of Kidderminster, Droitwich and Alvechurch. Secondly, the volume also covers the hundred of Oswaldslow, which largely encircles the city of Worcester.
