EDUCATION.

There was a Sunday school with 20 children in 1819. (fn. 1) In 1846 there was a day school with 22 and a Sunday school with 5 children. (fn. 2) Between 1861 and 1883 a Sunday school was held in a house near the church. (fn. 3) An infant school was recorded in 1889 but in 1894 children were said to attend schools in Bridgwater. (fn. 4)
