Writ of supersedeas, by mainprise of Robert Chekle citizen and 'girdeler,' Richard Otle citizen and 'lethersiller,' Henry Haselwode and Simon Stokenton, all of London, in favour of John Chekle at suit of the king and John Fyllours citizen and 'haberdassher' of London for leaving the service of John Fyllours before the term agreed.
John Yonge, son of Walter Yonge of 'Southmorton,' to Richard Aleyn, William Broune, John Henxey, Roger Peerte and Henry Viller clerk, their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of all the lands, rents, reversions and services in 'Southmorton' co. Berkshire called 'Glasynhacche' and Herewardes, and all other the lands etc. there and in Foulescote which they had of his gift. Writ of supersedeas omnino in respect of any process against Robert Talkan, appointed with others to arrest John Kyghlay, John Kent banished Englishmen, Wybert Freton a banished Frenchman, the captain of Bolonia, John Burnet, William Ryncelyn and the captain of Normandy of France, Uter Jonessoun a banished man of Flanders, and them of 'Seint Malov' and the Isle of 'Seint Briac,' and in general all them of either realm who have committed or attempted violence or robbery contrary to the truce and appointment made at Lenlyngham by ambassadors of both realms, wherever they be found by land or water, with their goods and merchandise, but order to proceed against others who did meddle therein; as that commission never came to the said Robert's hands, as John Talkan his son has made oath in chancery.

Henry Refham, son and heir of Simon Refham, to Ralph Batman and his assigns. Charter indented of demise with warranty for five years, for a sum of money beforehand paid, of a messuage in the town of Cantebregge sometime of the said Simon, situate in the parish of Holy Trinity between tenements of the nuns of Denney on the west and of Hugh Candelesby on the east abutting upon the market, to hold quit of all secular demands and other charges whatsoever, the grantor bearing the repair thereof; and covenants that if the grantee or his attorneys shall during that term for default of the said Henry incur any costs about the premises, the grantor or his attorneys shall allow the same; that if after the said term the grantor will sell or alien the messuage otherwise than in this indenture is contained, the grantee shall have it to him and his heirs by this or another charter or release with clause of warranty, for which he or his attorneys shall give 20l.; that if his will is not to sell, but that the heirs of his body shall inherit the same, the grantor or his attorneys shall immediately after the said term pay 40l. by acquittance of the grantee or his attorneys in presence of the then mayor of Cantebregge and four lawful men of the town, otherwise it shall have no effect in law; that within the said term the grantor shall not alien the messuage nor any parcel thereof for a term or in fee without licence of the grantee or his attorneys; that if 40l. be not paid as aforesaid the grantee and his heirs shall straightway have an estate in fee simple, paying 20l. as aforesaid, without other condition whatsoever; that all charters, evidences etc. new and old shall be delivered under seal of the parties to William Purser dwelling in the parish of St. Mary, to be by him delivered after the said term to the grantor or the grantee as hereinbefore mentioned. Dated Christmas day 5 Henry IV.
