To the sheriff of Wiltesir for the time being. Order to pay to
Robert Frye the king's clerk, one of the clerks of the office of the
privy seal, 10l. a year and the arrears since 28 January last, on which
date for good and willing service in that office and in the office of the
signet for twelve years past the king granted him 10l. a year of the
issues of Wiltesir for life or until he shall be advanced by the king to a
benefice of the value of 20l. a year without cure. |

of lands and lordships within the honour of Tuttebury. Order, so
long as the lordship of Melburne shall remain in the king's hand, to
pay to Peter de Melburne esquire 16l. 13s. 4d. a year, and to pay him
the arrears since 3 April last, on which date the king confirmed
letters patent whereby John late king of Castille and Leon and duke
of Lancastre granted to the said Peter for life 16l. 13s. 4d. a year of
the issues of the said lordship. |

pay to Thomas Ryvere the king's serjeant, groom of his cellar, 10
marks a year for life; as lately the king granted him for life 100s. a
year at the exchequer, and after granted him the same with 2½ marks
increase during his life, to be taken of the issues and profits of the said
counties. |

receive John Lalleforde of Norhampton the elder from one who shall
deliver him on behalf of the king, and at the constable's peril to keep

To the keepers, bailiffs or farmers of the lordship of Dyrchenfelde
for the time being. Order, so long as the same shall remain in the king's
hand, to pay to Philip de More 10l. and 100s. a year, and to pay him
the arrears since 1 February 20 Richard II; as Richard Talbot knight
deceased, by name of Richard Talbot lord of Dyrchenfelde and
Blakemere, by divers writings gave to the said Philip for life a yearly
rent of 10l. of all his lands within the said lordship, the same being
held in chief it is said, and gave him the office of constable of Goderyche
castle within the march of Wales for life, taking in the said lordship
100s. a year and the profits and customs to that office pertaining, and
without obtaining licence of the king he occupied the said office,
taking the said 10l., 100s., profits etc.; and on the aforesaid date
the king pardoned his trespass therein, granting that he may have
the same for life notwithstanding that the said lands and castle are
held in chief. |

of Yrchenfelde and of Godryche castle. Like order, mutatis mutandis,
so long as the same shall remain in the king's hand to pay to John
Greyndor 10l. a year, and to pay him the arrears since 18 May 20
Richard II; as without obtaining licence of the king Gilbert Talbot
late lord of Yrchynfelde and Godryche castle, which are held in chief,
by writing indented gave to the said John 10l. a year for life to be
thereof taken, and on the date aforesaid the king pardoned the trespasses therein committed, granting that the said John shall take that
annuity for life notwithstanding that those lordships are held in chief,
or are now in the king's hand by the death of Richard Talbot knight son
and heir of the said Gilbert, and by reason of the nonage of his heir. |

Heygham Ferrers for the time being. Order so long as the same shall
be in the king's hand to pay to Mary de Sancto Hillario 20 marks a
year, which by letters patent, confirmed by the king, John late duke of
Lancastre granted her of the issues of the said lordship for her life. |

port of London. Order without taking custom or subsidy to suffer
Joan de Bretaigne dame de Basset to have eleven tuns of wine, sent
her from Brittany by the duke of Brittany her brother, which shall be
for consumption of her household and not converted to other uses, as
John Shene has made oath in chancery. |

patent, confirmed by the king for that he has retained the said
Richard with him. |

hand to pay to Walter Blount knight 50 marks a year, which were
granted to him for life for good service by John late king of Castille

letters patent, confirmed by the king for that he has retained the said
knight with him. |

the king's hand and meddle no further with the manor of Dounaumeny, a toft and two carucates of land in Wyke by Hampton Meysy,
delivering to Walter son of Thomas de Hungerforde knight any issues
thereof taken; as the king has learned by inquisition, taken by the
escheator, that at his death the said Thomas held the same for life
by demise of Master John Snap and Henry Tellesforde clerks, with
remainder to the said Walter and to the heirs of his body, and that
they are held of others than the king. |

To the sheriffs of London and the coroner therein. Order, upon
petition of the plaintiff, to proceed in an assize of fresh force before
the late sheriffs and the coroner arraigned without writ of the king
by William Cressoner of Iklyngham against Robert Ramesey and
Robert de Yorke concerning a messuage and six shops in the parish
of St. Margaret Moyses in 'Frydaystrete' London, the allegation of
Robert Ramesey notwithstanding, so that they proceed not to rendering of judgment without advising the king; as Robert Ramesey
alleged that the king granted the same to him for life with reversion
to the king, craving aid of the king. |

coroners of that city to be controllers (contrarotuletis) as well of appeals
as of inquisitions, attachments, outlawries etc. which pertain to the
coroner's office, according to the statute of Westminster the first,
from time to time certifying the treasurer and the barons of the ex
chequer at their proffer in the exchequer of the names of all persons
outlawed or to be outlawed. |
