Wednesday, September 1. Present:—Lord Sandys, Mr. Jenyns, Mr. Bacon, Mr. Yorke.

New Jersey.

The Secretary laid before the Board a draught of general instructions and of those relative to the observance of the Acts for the encouragment of trade and navigation, prepared for William Franklin, Esquire, Governor of New Jersey; which being approved, and the draught of a representation to his Majesty, and of a letter to enclose the same to the Earl of Egremont, having also been prepared, the said representation and letter were agreed to, transcribed and signed.

Monday, September 27. Present:—Lord Sandys, Mr. Jenyns, Mr. Yorke, Sir Edmund Thomas, Mr. Roberts.

Plantations General.

The Secretary laid before the Board an Order of his Majesty in Council, dated 17th of September, 1762, directing the Board to prepare draughts of instructions for the Governors of the several colonies and plantations in America, for an alteration in the prayers for the Royal Family; and draughts of instructions having been accordingly prepared, were approved, and a representation to his Majesty thereupon, was signed.
