Barkstead's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Jane Barkstead Widow; and vesting several Mortgages and Securities in her, to enable her to convey or assign the same."

Dean and Chapter of Lincoln versus Pye & al.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause wherein the Dean and Chapter of Lincolne and Charles Newcomen are Appellants, and Richard Pye and his Wife and William Woolfe are Respondents, on Friday the Thirteenth Day of June next, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

Minehead Harbour, Bill.

The Lord Viscount Weymouth reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the recovering, securing, and keeping in Repair, the Harbour of Minhead, for the Benefit and Support of the Navigation and Trade of this Kingdom," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

E. of Lindsey takes his Seat.

This Day Robert Earl of Lindsey, Lord Great Chamberlain, sat first in Parliament, upon the Death of his Father Robert Earl of Lindsey; and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statute.

Fawconer's Bill.

Then the Amendments made to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the vesting and settling several Messuages, Lands, and Tenements, belonging to John Fawconer Esquire, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of Debts," were read Thrice, and agreed to; and ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

Sir J. Tily versus Wharton.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Joseph Tily and Dame Deborah his Wife; praying, "That William Wharton and Eunuce his Wife may produce a Bond at the Hearing of his Cause in this House; and that all other Papers and Evidences proved and made Use of at the Hearing in Chancery, and mentioned in the Decree, may be likewise produced:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said William Wharton and his Wife shall produce the said Bond and Writings, at the Hearing of the Cause in this House.

L. Howard Efcr. versus Ly. Inchiquin.

Upon reading the Petition of Charles Lord Howard, Baron of Escrick; praying, "That this House would be pleased to apply to His Majesty, That he may have a Commission of Review in his Case, relating to his Marriage with the Lady Inchequin, or order him to be prosecuted for Felony:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lady Inchequin may have a Copy of the said Petition; and do put in her Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Wednesday the Thirteenth Day of June next, at Eleven a Clock.

Holmes versus Peacock.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Thomas Holmes Esquire, brought into this House the Sixth of February One Thousand Six Hundred Ninetyeight, from a Decree made in His Majesty's Court of Chancery in Ireland, the Second Day of December then last past, and other Proceedings there, on the Behalf of James Peacock; as also upon the Answer of James Peacock put in thereunto, the Seven and Twentieth of April One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-nine:

After due Consideration of what was offered thereupon, it is this Day ORDERED, and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Thomas Holmes shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree and other Proceedings therein complained of shall be, and they are hereby, affirmed.

Grosvener versus Coy.

Whereas this Day was appointed for resuming the Debate, upon hearing the Appeal of John Grosvener, and the Answer of Colonel John Coy:
