Prayers.

Propagating Gospel.

AN Act for the Promoting and Propagating the Gospel of Jesus Christ in New England, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto Colonel Purefoy, Mr. Gurdon, Mr. Myles Corbett, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Holland, Mr. Baker, Mr. Salwey, Colonel Venne, Mr. Nath. Bacon, Colonel Fielder, Mr. Challener, Colonel Bossevile, Alderman Atkin, Alderman Wilson, Mr. Cawley, Sir Wm. Strickland, Mr. Darley, Mr. Smith, Colonel Wauton, Mr. Christopher Marten, Mr. Bond, Mr. White, Mr. Hallowes, Sir James Harrington, Mr. Garland, Sir Wm. Masham, Sir Wm. Allenson, Lord Howard; or any Five of them: Who are to meet at Two of Clock, in the Exchequer Chamber, this Afternoon; and to bring in the said Act on Tuesday next.

And the more particular Care hereof is referred to Mr. Gurdon, and Mr. Nathaniel Bacon.

Committee added.

Ordered, That Peter Temple Esquire be added to the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall.

Invalid Soldiers.

Mr. Garland reports an Act for the further Relief of maimed Soldiers, and the Widows and Orphans of Soldiers slain in the Service of the Parliament.

Which was this Day read; and, upon the Question passed.

Ordered, That it be referred to that Committee for Hospitals, to meet together To-morrow Morning; and consider how the Eleven hundred Pounds, formerly ordered to the maimed Soldiers, Widows and Orphans of Soldiers slain in the War, may be speedily paid; and to consider of the Obstructions; and present them to the House; with further Power to bring in Names of Sequestrators for London and Middlesex.

Alms-houses, &c.

Mr. Garland reports an Act for the nominating Commissioners to reform and regulate Alms-houses and Hospitals, &c.

Which was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Second time on Monday next.

A Pardon for Margery Gaunt, Mary Crisby, Mary Howell, Susan Beck, Beata Clerk, Thomas Rowe, John Walker, James Gleaven, Sarah Daubney, Elizabeth Browne, George Flood, Margaret Lashford, Susan Ayres alias Eyres, John Sadler, Charles Bagley, Anthony Tallis, Susan Peytey, alias Peyto, Anne Edwards alias Parker, John Lowman, Elioner his Wife, John Serles, John Huddleston, Samuel Belleaw, An. Trafford, Wm. Morgan, Margaret Feffees, and Anne Goodman, was this Day read. And,

Upon the Question, Resolved, &c. That Wm. Knight, late of the Parish of St. Margaret's Westminster, in the County of Middlesex, Gentleman, be omitted out of the said Pardon.

And the said Pardon, after the Name of the said Wm. Knight, was omitted, being put to the Question, was assented unto. And

It is Ordered, That the Commissioners of the Great Seal are hereby required and authorized to pass the said Pardon under the Great Seal of England.

A Pardon for Wm. Ashcroft, Thomas Mayo, Margaret Williams, Robert Kendall, John Yonge, Thomas Sherwood, and Thomas Worsley, was this Day read; and, upon the Question, assented unto. And

It is Ordered, That the Commissioners of the Great Seal are hereby required and authorized to pass the said Pardon under the Great Seal of England.

A Pardon for Robert Cooper, Thomas Benham, Robert Ringe, Thomas Sanger, John Hembury, John Newton, and Andrew Radford, was this Day read; and, upon the Question, assented unto, And

It is Ordered, That the Commissioners of the Great Seal are hereby required and authorized to pass the said Pardon under the Great Seal of England.

A Pardon for pardoning Danyell Compton, Elizabeth Herrick, Thomas Slaughter, Elyas Goad, Edward Mares, Thomas Hacluit, Thomas Powell, Griffith Harris alias Thomas, Anne Acton, Elizabeth Vergh, John Late of Dilwyn, Margaret Brindley, John Strefford, Maurice Smyth, was this Day read.

And the Question being put, That Maurice Smyth be pardoned;

It passed with the Negative.

And the said Pardon, after the Name of Maurice Smith was omitted, being put to the Question was assented unto. And

It is Ordered, That the Commissioners of the Great are hereby required and authorized to pass the said Pardon under the Great Seal of England.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Judges of Assize for Kent, and to the Judges of the several other Circuits, to consider and certify, What Persons are fit to be pardoned, that are already condemned.

Bossevile's Accompt.

Ordered, That the Committee of Accompts, or any Two of them, be authorized and required, within Five Days, to certify the Accompt of Colonel Bossevile, a Member of this House.

Admiralty Judge.

Ordered, That the Order made Yesterday, touching Dr. Walker to be one of the Judges of the Admiralty, be vacated: And that the said Dr. Walker be spared from being one of the said Judges.

Late King's Children.

Resolved, &c. That the late King's Children do sit with the Earl and Countess of Leicester, at their Table, as Part of their Family, and not otherwise.

Resolved, &c. That the Earl and Countess of Leicester be required to take care, that no other Observance or Ceremony be used to the late King's Children, than is used to Noblemen's Children of this Nation.

Dutch Merchants.

Ordered, That the Report touching the Dutch Merchants be made on Tuesday next: And that Major General Skippon do then make the Report.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Henry Mildmay have Leave to go into the Country.

Blakiston's Family.

Mr. Holland reports an Act for Payment of Three thousand Pounds to Mrs. Susan Blakiston, the Relict of Mr. John Blakiston, to the Use of herself, and her Children; and of Five hundred Pounds to Mr. George Blakiston; out of the sequestred Estate of the Earl of Newcastle, and Sir Wm. Widdrington in the County of Northumberland.

Which was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee for New England: With Power to nominate some meet Persons to be trusted for the Good of the Children of Mr. John Blakiston: And that it be brought in, the first Business on Thursday Morning next.

Rainsborough's Family.

Ordered, That the Act touching Colonel Rainsborough's Wife and Children be reported on Thursday Morning.

Duty on Coals.

Ordered, That the Report touching taking off the Four Shillings per Chaldron imposed on Coals, be referred back again to the Council or State: And they are to present their Opinions therein: And that the same be reported, when the Report touching the Army is made, on Friday Morning next.

Ministers.

Ordered, That Mr. Salwey, do report the Declaration touching Ministers on Saturday next.

Clothiers.

Ordered, That the Report touching the Clothiers be made on Friday Morning next.

Needlemakers, &c.

The humble Petition of the Needle-makers and Steel Wire-drawers of the City of London, and Places adjacent, was this Day read.

Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Committee to whom the Act for New England is referred; to consider of the Petition; and report their Opinions to this House, How the Petitioners may be relieved: And that Colonel Thompson, Mr. Dove, Dr. Palmer, Mr. Boone, and Mr. Edward Ashe, be added to that Committee.

And the more particular Care hereof is referred to Colonel Thompson.

Vaughan and Palmer.

Ordered, That the Business concerning John Vaughan and Edmond Palmer, Owners of Three Vessels belonging to Barking, be referred to the Committee of the Navy; to hear and determine the same; and to give Satisfaction, if they see Cause.

Ordered, That Colonel Harvey be added to the Committee of the Navy.
