Prayers.
Propagating the Gospel.
ORDERED, That an Act be brought in This-dayseven-night, for the Propagating of the Gospel in the County of York.
Grants to Woolwich Poor, &c.
Resolved, That this House doth approve of the Ten Pounds given by the Committee of the Navy to the Poor of Woolwich, and Ten Pounds more given to the Shipwrights, on Monday the Eighth of this Month, at the Launching of the Frigate.
Observation of Lord's Day.
An additional Act, for the better Observation of the Lord's Day, Days of Publick Humiliation and Thanksgiving, was this Day read the Third time.
And the Question being put, That this Clause in the Act, beginning in these Words; viz. "as also walking for Pleasure;" and ending in these Words; viz. "Parts of this Commonwealth;" do stand in the Bill;
It passed with the Negative.
Resolved, That the Word "Realm" be put out; and the Word "Commonwealth" be put in, instead thereof.
The Question being put, That the Clause concerning Watering of Horses do stand in this Act;
It passed with the Negative.
The Question being put, That these Words; viz. "or in case of such that wilfully absent themselves from publickly appearing upon any other Days than upon the Lord's Days, Days of Humiliation and Thanksgiving;" do stand in the Act;
It passed with the Negative.
Resolved, That these Words; viz. "Prosanation of the Lord's Day, Days of Thanksgiving and Humiliation;" be added in this Act.
The said Act, so amended, being put to the Question, passed. And
It is Ordered, That the said Act be forthwith printed and published.
Invalid Soldiers.
Ordered, That the Committee for wounded Soldiers be authorized and required to allow and pay unto Fourscore sick and maimed Soldiers, certified by their Physicians to be fit to be sent to the Bath for the Perfecting of their Cure, such Sum, for their Charges therein, as hath been formerly allowed to others in like Case.
According to former Order, the House adjourned itself until Tuesday Morning next, at Eight of Clock.
