PRAYERS, by Mr. Young.

Wilgrice and Turner.

Ordered, That the Cause between Wilgric and Turner shall be heard on Tuesday next, by Counsel on both Sides; and that an Order be granted to the Sheriff of London, to bring one Day, a Prisoner in The Compter of Woodstreet, to attend this House at the same Time, to witness on Behalf of the said Wilgrice, &c.

Manner of the Dutch Ambassadors having Audience.

Ordered, That the Committee of Lords do meet this Afternoon, at Three a Clock, with the Committee of the House of Commons, to consider of the Manner of The States Ambassadors making their Addresses to this House.

Message to the H. C. for Committees to meet about it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Rob't Rich and Mr. Page:

To let them know, that this House hath appointed their Committee to meet this Afternoon, at Three a Clock, about The States Ambassadors; and to desire them to appoint their Committee to meet likewise.

The Answer returned was:

Answer.

That the House of Commons have appointed their Committee to meet, with the Committee of Lords, this Afternoon, as is desired.

Message from the H. C. about a Breach of their Privileges;

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by George Mountague Esquire, &c.

To desire a Conference, so soon as it may stand with their Lordships Conveniency, concerning a Breach of the Privilege of that House.

for Persons to be added to the Committee resident with the Northern Armies.

2. To desire their Lordships Concurrence in an Order, That the Earl of Manchester, the Lord Fairfax, Sir Thomas Fairfax, and Sir Wm. Constable, shall be added to the Committee appointed to reside with the Northern and Scotts Armies, armed with the same Power and Instructions as the other Committee have.

The Answer returned was:

That their Lordships will give a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber, as is desired; concerning the Order concerning the Earl of Manchester, &c. their Lordships will take it into Consideration, and send an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Message from the H. C. with Ordinances.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Rob't Pye Knight:

To desire their Lordships Concurrence in several Ordinances.

The Answer returned was:

Answer.

That their Lordships will take the several Particulars of this Message into Consideration, and will send an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Dexham and Dickenson sent for, for disobeying the Order about Sutton Marsh.

Upon reading an Affidavit of George John, "That Dexham (fn. 1) and Dickenson did refuse to conform themselves to the Order of this House, concerning the Payment of the Rents of Sutton Marsh:" It is Ordered, That the said Dexham and Dickenson shall be sent for as Delinquents, to answer their Contempts.

Ordinance to raise Money, to send Forces into Oxfordshire.

Next, an Ordinance brought up this Day from the House of Commons, concerning the raising of Monies to send forth Forces into Oxfordshire, was read Twice, and committed to the Earls of Rutland, Sarum; and the Lord Howard.

And the said Committee reported the same fit to pass, with a short Proviso concerning (fn. 2) Mrs. Abercromy; which was approved of, and sent to the House of Commons by Sir Rob't Rich and Mr. Page.

Ordinance concerning Leicestershire.

An Ordinance was read, brought up from the House of Commons, concerning the County of Leycester.

Ordered, To be committed to the Consideration of these Lords following:

Any Five, to meet on Monday, in the Lord Keeper's Lodgings, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon.

Mr. Serjeant Whitfeild and Serjeant Fynch to attend the said Committee.

Lady St. Leger, a Pass.

Ordered, That the Lady St. Leger shall have a Pass, quietly and peaceably to go to Oxford, with a Maid Servant, a Man Servant, with Coach and Horses, to see her Husband sick there; carrying nothing with them prejudicial to the State.

Order for Mr. Winn's Assessment, for Relief of Lyme.

An Order was brought in, and read, for employing the Assessment of Mr. Winn for the Supply of Lyme; which was approved of by this House, and Ordered to be communicated to the House of Commons.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference; which being ended, the House was resumed.
