Bubb, to change his Name to Doddington, Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable George Bubb Esquire and his Issue Male to change their Surname to the Surname of Doddington."

Shipperdson's Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Ralph Shipperdson Esquire to make Sale of his Estate, in Studley Roger, in the County of York, freed from the Uses and Trusts in the said Ralph Shipperdson's Marriage Settlement; and to settle his Estate at East Mourton, in the County of Durham, to the same Uses."

"The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Gery and Mr. Bennet:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Annesley's Pet. Report to be received.

The Earl of Clarendon acquainted the House, "That the Committee, to whom the Petition of Maurice Annesley Esquire was referred, were ready to make their Report."

Ordered, That the same be received on Wednesday next; and that the Lords be summoned then to attend the Service of this House, and Notice given them of the Occasion.

Burk versus Morgan, Judges to attend.

Whereas this Day was appointed, for hearing the Errors argued, upon a Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Burk is Plaintiff, and Morgan Defendant:

And the House being moved, "That the Judges may attend on hearing the same:"

It is Ordered, That this House will hear the said Errors argued, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Monday next; and that the Judges, or some of them, do then attend this House; and that the other Causes be removed in Course.

Thurston, Leave for a Bill.

After reading, and considering, the Report of the Judges to whom the Petition of the Infant Children of Joseph Thurston Esquire, deceased, and of their Mother and Guardian, was referred; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned:

It is Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill, pursuant to the said Petition and Report.

Cornwall's Bill.

After reading, and considering, likewise the Report of the Judges to whom the Petition of Francis Cornwall Esquire was referred; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned:

It is Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill, pursuant to the said Petition and Report.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the exonerating and discharging the Manors, Lands, and Hereditaments, of Francis Cornwall Esquire, and likewise the said Francis Cornwall, of and from certain Articles of Agreement, made before the Marriage of the said Francis Cornwall."

State of the Coin:

The Order of the Day being read, for the House to be put into a Committee of the whole House, to take into Consideration the State of the Coin of this Kingdom:

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into the said Committee.

The House was resumed.

And the Earl of Clarendon acquainted their Lordships, "That the Committee finding the several Papers laid before the House, pursuant to their Lordships Addresses to His Majesty and their Order to the Commissioners of the Customs, were not referred to the Committee, they had directed him to move the House, that the same be referred to them.

Ordered, That the said Papers be accordingly referred to the Consideration of the said Committee.

Then the House was again adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, pursuant to the Order of the Day.

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Clarendon reported from the said Committee, "That they had come to a Resolution; which they had directed him to report, when the House will please to receive the same."

Ordered, That the Report be now received.

His Lordship accordingly reported the said Resolution; videlicet,

Standard of the Silver Coin not to be altered.

"That it is the Opinion of this Committee, That the Standard of the Silver Coins of this Kingdom ought not to be altered, in Weight, Fineness, or Denomination."

Then the said Resolution, being read Twice by the Clerk, was agreed to by the House.

And the Earl of Clarendon acquainting their Lordships, "That he was directed by the Committee to move, that another Time may be appointed, for them to sit again:"

Ordered, That on Monday next this House shall be put into a Committee of the whole House, to take into further Consideration the State of the Coin of this Kingdom.

Moor versus Mattocks, Time for delivering Exceptions enlarged.

Whereas, by Order of this House of the 20th of December last, the hearing the Appeal of Boyl Moor and others (to which Thomas Mattocks and others are Respondents) was adjourned till the First vacant Day after the Recess; and the Appellants directed to deliver to the Respondents Agents a List or Note of Exceptions, signed by Counsel, as in the said Order is directed, Six Days before the Hearing of the said Cause:

The House being this Day moved, "That the Time for delivering the said List may be enlarged a few Days, in regard One of the Appellants Counsel is indisposed:"

It is Ordered, That the Time for delivering such List or Note of Exceptions be enlarged accordingly, to Tuesday the Twenty-eighth Day of this Instant January.

Adjourn.
