to Randolf's daughter, in which case Hugh to have the manor of
Egerton in farm during the nonage of the said Philip with allowance
for repairs by the oversight of Sir Uryan Damport and Sir James Moly-
neux, clerks, or, if they differ, of Sir William Stanley, knight,
chamberlain to the king; Hugh to have the keeping of the said
Philip as long as the said Randolph shall think reasonable;
within two months after the marriage and 'also after the decesse of
Randolf son of Urian of Brerton,' Randolf to release to Philip and his

died diseisid of, parcell of the manoir of Hampton'; Elizabeth,

Ermetrude, his wife, lately in the king's court before the justices at
Westminster granted and gave back to John Bacun, clerk, 25s. rent in
Salle, and also granted him the moiety of a knight's fee in the same
town, with the homages and all the services of Simon atte Haghe of
Weston, and Sarah his wife, and of William son of John atte Haghe,
from all the tenements which they held of the said Edmund and
Ermetrude in the same town, by fine there thereof between the said
John and the said Edmund and Ermetrude made; the said Simon and
Sarah afterwards came to the said John Bacoun and acknowledged that
they held their tenements there of the said Edmund and Ermetrude
by homage, fealty and service of 14s. 5¼d. of rent and service yearly
and 7s. 6d. to a scutage of 40s. and so in proportion; and the said
Simon and Sarah, by pretext of the said fine, attorned themselves
gratis to the said John Bacoun for the said homage, fealty and service;
for which acknowledgement and attornment the said John Bacun
has granted and by this writing has bound himself and his heirs to acquit
the said Simon and Sarah, all the life of the said Sarah, and if she die
before the lawful age of William son of John atte Haghe to acquit the
