Tuesday, October 9. Present:—Earl of Halifax, Mr. Oswald, Mr. Hamilton.
Nova Scotia.
The Secretary having laid before the Board a Memorial prepared by the agent for Nova Scotia, to be presented to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, praying that the sum of one thousand, two hundred and twenty seven pounds, two shillings and two pence may be issued to him to defray certain charges incurred on account of the settlement of the said colony, the said Memorial was approved; and the agent was directed to present it to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury for their lordships' directions upon it.

Virginia.
The draughts of General Instructions and of those respecting the laws of trade and navigation, having been prepared pursuant to order, for Jeffery Amherst Esqr., Governor of Virginia, were agreed to; and a Representation to His Majesty thereupon was signed.

The Secretary laid before the Board an account of the petty expences and incidental charges of this office from the 5th of July to the 10th of October, 1759, amounting to three hundred and fifty four pounds, nine shillings and two pence; and a letter to the Lords of the Treasury, desiring payment of the same, and of the salaries due to the Secretary and under officers in the service of this Board for the same time, was signed.
