July 16/27. Same to same to allow in the accounts of the Forces the pay of all detachments (made and respited and not recruited sooner) upon the two succeeding musters viz. towards answering the expense of raising recruits in place of the drafts made from Regiments in England: which said drafts there was frequent occasion to make for recruiting those in Flanders and for other services. Same to same to allow in the accounts of William Seymour's disbanded Regiment of Foot their respits from the time of their landing from Flanders after the battle of Steinkirk in Nov. 1692 viz. from 1692 Nov. 1 to 1692–3 Feb. 28: the said Regiment, by reason of its great losses at that battle, having been sent into England to be recruited which was done without any allowance from the King for the same. Same to the Excise Commissioners of the petition of John Middleton shewing that he paid 140l. to Jacob Sheldrick, a clerk in the Treasurer of the Excise Office, who a short time after fell distracted and is now dead; but the Treasurer of Excise refuses to deliver to petitioner the bills he was to have for the said money. Same to Phillip Ryley of the petition of the tenants of Bray Co. Berks. for rough timber out of Windsor Forest for the repair of several decayed bridges in the said County. Ibid.

Treasury warrant to Phillip Ryley, Surveyor General of Woods Trent South, to deliver timber as follows out of New Forest for the use of the Navy viz. such trees as are marked by the Purveyor of the Navy out of any the decayed trees felled for making the enclosures in said forest by virtue of the warrant dated 1699 July 17 from the Commissioners for setting out and Enclosing Waste Lands in said forest. July 16. Treasury warrant to the Surveyor General of Crown Lands for a particular of the tythes in Bestwall Co. Dorset and a cottage and two oxgangs in Singlethorne and a close in Knottingley Co. Yorks. ut supra p. 355 in order to a new lease thereof to Sir Charles Wyndham on the former rents amounting to 28l. 10s. 0d. and fine of 100l.
Prefixing: report by the Surveyor General on the petition of said Wyndham. The tithes were decreed to Oliver Cromwell, under the title of Protector, by the Exchequer Court on the discovery thereof made in Michaelmas term 1655. The other two premises were discoveries made on passing the last lease which was granted to petitioner at the nomination of Sir Edmd. Wyndham his late father.
