Ld. Strangford's Bill.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable Trustees for the Lord Strangford to sell Lands, for Payment of Debts."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Sir Edw. Hungerford's Bill.

The Earl of Dorsett reported, "That the Committee have considered of the Bill to enable Sir Edward Hungerford to sell Land; and that all Parties concerned therein are consenting to the passing thereof: Therefore the Lords Committees think it fit to pass as it is, without any Alterations."

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable Sir Edward Hungerford, Knight of the Bath, to sell certain Lands, in the County of Devon."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with L. Strangford's and L. Loughborough's Bills; and that the Lords have passed Sir Ed. Hungerford's.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Justinian Lewyn and Sir Moundeford Brampston:

To deliver to them Two Bills passed this House, and desire the Concurrence of the House of Commons thereunto:

1. "An Act to enable Trustees for the Lord Strangford to sell Lands, for the Payment of Debts."

2. "An Act to enable Henry Lord Loughbrough to make the River and Shore navigable, from or near Bristow Causey, in the County of Surrey, into the River of Thames."

Also to let them know, that this House hath passed the Bill to enable Sir Edward Hungerford to sell Lands, in the County of Devon.

Message from thence, with Sandys' Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Henry Herbert; who returned a Bill for enabling of Trustees to sell Land, Part of the (fn. 1) Estate of Samuell Sandys the Elder Esquire, and of his Son Samuell Sandys, for the Payment of Debts, formerly sent to the House of Commons; to which the Commons have made a small Alteration, and desire their Lordships Concurrence therein.

The said Alteration, being read Twice, was Agreed to.

Bill to make the Rivers of Hitching, Mole, &c. navigable.

The Earl of Bridgwater reported, "That the Committee appointed to consider of the Bill for making certain Rivers navigable have considered of the same; and having heard Gentlemen in the several Counties where those Rivers are, the Committee hath thought fit to make some Alterations therein, which are offered to the Consideration of this House."

And his Lordship further acquainted the House, "That, since the Meeting of the said Committee, there hath been an Act read in this House, for making navigable the River of Medway, which is contained in the aforesaid Bill; therefore offered it to the Consideration of the House, whether it may not be requisite to leave out the said River of Medway, and the Name of Phillip Packer, out of this Bill."

Hereupon the said Amendments were read Twice, and Agreed to, with the leaving out of the Name of the said Phillip Packer and the River of Medway; and were ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Bill to amend Acts for enclosing Wastes.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to supply the Defect of such Statutes as have been (fn. 2) heretofore made for the enclosing of Wastes."
